Torts is a jackass. Just put Sestito and Kassian out there to fight the two mongoloids from Calgary and move on. I thought that was the whole reason Vancouver had Kassian and Sestito to begin with. If you aren't going to put the Sedins out and try to avoid it, get your tough guys out there and get it over with.

Haha, given that they're only willing to hire french canadian coaches they'd better slow it down a little on the coaching changes. Alain Vigneault already has a job and Guy Boucher sucks, so there's nobody else but Therrien left.

I haven't really watched them much this season. But in years past it always seemed like they weren't built for the tight checking of the playoffs. They had neither the toughness nor the high end skill to be successful in the playoffs. But again, I haven't seen them much this season.

Sheahan should be a regular for the remainder of this season. He and Jurco would be a nasty anchor for the third line. I hope, by some miracle Holland can clear some dead wood at the trade deadline but I'm not holding my breath. -
What's the over/under on how many times Torts calls Hartley "gutless" in the post game presser? Also, this is all totally stupid, serves no purpose, and makes me want to puke. If fans want drama, there are all sorts of tv shows and movies to watch.

Well I think you understand my point, if not then I'd be happy to explain it to you in PM or an appropriate thread. No need to derail this one. Ultimately it boils down to, I like hockey players who are tough but I don't really like tough guys who aren't very good at hockey. -

Nope, I'm always advocating that the Wings don't need goons. Wisniewski is a super good hockey player in addition to being tough. I also have no problem with a guy standing up to protect Howard when he's getting crashed. That's protection. A whole different thing than the supposed "tough guys deter dirty play" argument, which is wrong...and stupid. I wish I could "like" this more than once. This actually kinda reminds me of Phil Kessel against John Scott haha. -

I also think, and I know a bunch of people will argue this one, that we could really use James Wisniewski right now. Dude can score, is awesome on the PP, and LOVES sticking up for his teammates. He'd have already punched someone this game. -
