Actually if you read some of the other threads you'll find that most people thought the bad play was the result of the injuries and that we'd improve when we got guys back. Obviously some disagree and predicted doom, but mostly the mantra was "stay the course".
-
Miller has really stepped his game up this season. Aside from Flip I'd say he's the most improved Wing
-
God damn guys, keep the pressure on
-
I can't imagine why fans would respond positively when the team is playing well. It's mind boggling really.
-
well here's hoping anyway.
-
f*** yes.
-
thank god for that
-
Cam Ward.
-
f*** we need a goal, we're hammering them right now
-
Zetterberg is playing awesome. Remember all those folks that bitched about him earlier this season and wanted to trade him? Where are they now?
-
You think the Wings have ever even considered not playing from behind?
-
Anybody else see that good hit by Kindl a couple shifts ago. Wish he'd do that more.
-
I actually don't think those powerplays looked all that bad, obviously we didn't score but it didn't look nearly as lackluster as it has recently.
-
What a bulls*** call. I hope Homer scores tonight.
-
I can't see them spending on Suter and Weber. If they signed each of those guys at market value and already have Rinne for 7 million they won't have a whole lot to spend on some desperately needed offense. Unless they think Radulov is going to be a superstar. I don't.

Which team would piss you off the most if they won the cup?

Wait, you'll be (partially) mad if they win the cup because then they won't make the changes you think they need. And presumably the reason you think they need to make changes is so that they win the cup. Your circular logic is making my head spin. -

The New York Rangers. The only thing I loathe more than Glen Sather is the city of New York. -
The thing I like most is that he mentioned Dubinsky by name, as I've heard that he's sort of considered the odd man out in NY. Maybe something to keep in mind sometime in the future.

I'm just wondering who you think we're going to get who's as useful as a healthy Cleary, and who plays more than he does? Those were just some popular names I figured I'd throw out for comparison.
-
god, who hasn't wanted to kick Pierre in the head at least once over the years?
-
Last year he broke his ankle after a Brad Stuart slap shot hit him. Don't make it sound like it's some recurring problem. Now that I think about it, you're right. We should trade Cleary (610 games played since 02) for someone like Gaustad (485 games played since 02) or Steve Ott (558 games played since 02) or Travis Moen (570 games played since 03). All of those guys would be better because they are a good blend of grit and scoring and give you versatility on any line. Plus they never, ever, get injured because of their physical play. All of those are things that you can't say about Cleary.
-
1. What makes you think Cleary's going to have nagging injury problems? Pretty sure that's the team doctor's job 2. I'll keep Homer to keep Lidstrom 3. If I can get Hudler for below market value he'd be an asset come trade deadline time.
-
Yeah, I mean I obviously didn't follow either of them as they came up. But from what I understood, drafting Lucic was by no means a no brainer or anything like that.
-
Milan Lucic is a ******* beast, but I recall reading somewhere that his AHL numbers weren't as good as Emmerton's. I don't know if that's true or not, but if it's true he probably developed much better than anyone ever anticipated, and therefore it would have been hard to predict and scout for. If this is completely false, then I apologize for referencing false info.

haha, it just occurred to me that a BMW is a high performance machine and the company is pretty much the industry standard, while Chevy is bankrupt and government owned. I think Chevy is certainly more applicable to Phoenix...and pretty soon New Jersey.
