Exactly, he had the same issues and SY traded for and extended him. Plus, we are currently paying Kailer Yamamoto half a million dollars a year not to play for us specifically because we wanted Kostin. I doubt they're dissatisfied. He's also not been "in and out" of the lineup. He's played 18 of 22 games.

I was thinking trade, not waiving someone. I'd imagine Maatta makes the most sense.

I know he was scratched once for "conduct issues". Speculation was that he was late for a meeting. Happens all the time. Walman was scratched for the same thing last year and now he's on our top pair. The Wings traded for Kostin and then signed him to a multi year deal. They pretty clearly like his game.

I've said it before, but I really like Christian Fischer. He's almost an ideal 4th liner, he's big, strong, fast, and good defensively and on the PK. I hope they extend him.

Klim Kostin is an absolute ox. I seriously wanna see him fight Reeves or some of the other top fighters in the league, I think he's totally in that league. He just ragdolled a really big dude in Connor Murphy.

This is an absolute beating. I mean, I know Chicago sucks but I thought this would be a little closer considering we played last night against one of the top teams in the league. So JT Compher was a nice addition eh?

Two highlight reel goals in the first. Pretty solid start. Could have probably had two more. I'd really like to see us drop about 5 or 6 on them tonight.

Our whole goal celebration is hilariously obnoxious. "Without Me" is a nice start, but when you add in the air horn and the "Woooo!" it takes it over the top. It's entertaining so I hope they keep it around, but only for this season.

Simon Edvinsson is WAY too good to be in the AHL and we need to get him on the team pronto. I'm having a hard time figuring out what the team is trying to accomplish here. Lalonde said Edvinsson won't get called up so long as they have 7 healthy dmen. But he's obviously better than 4 (maybe 5) of them. I understand showcasing guys before the deadline and all, but we can't be throwing away points at this time of year and he's quite obviously a difference maker.

You may be right. I guess I read it differently. I'd imagine one of the big hurdles that rebuilding teams must overcome is the fact that any veterans playing for your team either A) suck, or B) don't want to be there. I remember the Ottawa players griping in the Uber a few years back. When your team blows and you know you're not going to be around long it's probably hard to stay positive about it. Ideally you'd want someone like Bedard (who is supposed to be the future leader of the team) to be part of the solution and not gripe that he "wants out". But that could all be overblown as well. My knee jerk reaction was that this all seemed a little too Lindros for my liking.

Why is it a clown show? All the Kyle Beach people were fired already. Perry was fired for whatever he did too. Promptly. Most of the guys in that locker room had nothing to do with any of that. And now they've got a rookie (supposedly) complaining that he's not getting enough respect from guys in the locker room. These are professional players, not fans. I'm sure Bedard is used to walking into the rink and being fawned over. That's basically Canadian hockey culture in a nutshell. But if he thinks well respected veteran players like Nick Foligno, Tyler Johnson, and Seth Jones should fanboy out over his presence he's completely out of touch. Perhaps they should treat him the way Toronto treats their prima donna stars. I mean, that's clearly working out really well.

In speculative news that doesn't involve Perry or Kane, what do we think is wrong with Larkin? Because he's been playing injured for a while and it would absolutely crater our season to lose him or have him playing at 80% the whole season.

The Blackhawks organization has PROVEN that they're willing to lie and compartmentalize when it suits their purposes. There's no way they'd come out and say "Corey Perry banged Bedard's mom". So until the "real" reason behind all of this comes to light I'm going to choose to believe that Davidson is lying and that Perry did the deed. The Hawks have no credibility anymore.

Is Patrick Kane gonna hook up with Lucas Raymond's mom now? Does he even have the guts? I say he does it.
