Yeah, Pearson is, but will likely be sent down before Tuesday, unless they decide to waive Ehn or de la Rose instead... McIsaac is still injured and will likely miss the first couple months of the season. So technically, he hasn't been sent back to Halifax yet, but will definitely be back there for another season, once he finally gets healthy...

Just ordered the AHL package for the season to go along with the NHL package... I never miss a Wings game, and that may be the case (or close to it) for the Griffins this season... Stacked with prospects, Rasmussen, Veleno, Zadina, Svechnikov, Kuffner, Smith, Pearson, Turgeon, Seider, Kaski, Lindstrom, Larsson... It may be a painful season in Detroit, but should be a fun season in Grand Rapids...

Byfield is a hell of a prospect, but I highly doubt anyone will dethrone Lafreniere. I'm sure there'll be plenty of "speculation" all season, with a few different players "challenging" for the top spot, but in the end, it will undoubtedly be Lafreniere. This is said just about every draft, but is it really a thing? I don't think there's ever a situation where a GM would prefer to have the number two pick over the number one pick...

Bold predictions... This season: Half season in GR - nearly point per game player (35 points in 38 games). Half season in DET - nearly half a point per game player (17 points in 41 games). Long-term: Ceiling - elite top line winger (70-80 points per season). Floor - 2nd line winger (40-50 points per season).

Hicketts, Turgeon, Puempel, Terry, Elson, Lashoff, McIlrath and Pickard waived today. Have until noon tomorrow to clear waivers to be sent to the Griffins.

If we're going after "one of Larkin's best friend's", I'd prefer to go after Werenski... There's no way the Red Wings are giving up next year's 1st round pick, but they may eventually dangle their 2021 1st round pick (which was the pick mentioned in this trade). We'll likely be a lottery team again this season, but I can definitely see this team making a strong push for a playoff spot next season. I agree. A little too rich for my liking. Not saying that it's not fair value, because it just may be, but not a trade I'd feel too comfortable making at this point in the rebuild.

After seeing how "terrible" Zadina has been in training camp / pre-season, what do you project for him short-term (this season) and long-term (career)?

It's doable for sure. As long as he can stay healthy and doesn't have too many cold stretches... 39 for 39. I like it. He was on pace for 30 last season. There's not a question in my mind that he will at the very least eclipse that this season.

You know CRL is just being an a**hole right? That's not Zadina... That's the infamous 1st overall bust, Yakupov...

When Ericsson comes back? Literally the only person I've heard / read say this... Never mind position, in terms of readiness, I'd say they're all on very similar trajectories (within a year away)... I think all could use a little more seasoning, but getting one or two up now, another one or two up after the trade deadline, and the rest up to start the 2020-21 season, may be the best way to slowly inject the youth...

Like I've said previously, I'm completely fine with all 4 of Rasmussen, Veleno, Zadina and Svechnikov starting in GR. I'll definitely be tuning into a lot more Griffins hockey again this season. I wouldn't hate Seider and Cholowski starting down either, but it's looking like Cholo may be pushing his way on the big club again (at least to start), which is also fine by me.
