Likelihood draft picks develop into top 6 forwards... Picks 1-3 - 84% Picks 4-6 - 53% Picks 7-10 - 33% Zadina was drafted 6th overall. So let's just say for arguments sake, he has a 50/50 chance to develop into a top 6 forward. Would you still consider him a "bust" if he only develops into a player like Tatar? Sure, it would be kind of disappointing, but he most definitely would not be considered a bust by anyone (other than you)... I would also say that it's much more likely that Zadina ends up to be a better player than Tatar. So far he's been more productive at the exact same age as Tatar when he played his first pro season with the Griffins. Tatar - 32 points (16 goals, 16 assists) in 58 games (0.55 points per game). Very nice rookie season. Zadina - 29 points (15 goals, 14 assists) in 43 games (0.67 points per game). Very nice start to his rookie season. I'll also add that Zadina has the better raw tools and physical attributes than Tatar. Zadina will NOT be a bust. But by all means, keep spewing your bulls***....

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but my opinion is that your opinion is f***ing dumb. Zadina's will not be a bust. His floor is a Tatar type (middle six) winger. His ceiling is Kucherov type (elite) winger. He likely ends up somewhere in between, but there's no chance he becomes the next Yakupov. I'll bet anything on that.

Zadina has 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists), 21 shots on goal, and is a +6 in his last 7 games. #bust... He's really starting to heat up, and is only now starting to get some help down there. Frk is a huge addition to that team, and it definitely doesn't hurt having another countryman in the locker room / on his line. I'm not sure how long Hronek and Cholowski will stay down, but I wouldn't hate seeing them stay down for the rest of the season. Regain some confidence and help the Griffins go on another Calder Cup run.

Most importantly, top prospect Wade Megan had a hat-trick!!!

Let us know as soon as you find out...

I got first...
-
That is correct. He was waived last season by the Rangers on his birthday. LOL
-
It's also Cholowski's birthday tomorrow... Blashill is a f***ing maniac...
-
Yeah, I'm completely fine with Cholowski being sent down to Grand Rapids. I just don't want to see him a healthy scratch every night. Blashill is a real dick for scratching him for the Vancouver game and his bobble-head game though...

I bet it's all the sex and s*** he used to pull with Dabura's woman when he was out of town... I'd be cool with a 2nd. A 1st would be amazing.
-
Nah, he's real. Put up decent numbers in the Dub, and decent so far in the A. Probably nothing more than a bottom 6 winger at the NHL level though. So yeah, I'd prefer a 2nd round pick, but Calgary doesn't own a 2nd in 2019. Maybe a 3rd in 2019 and 2nd in 2020...
-
What did Mike Smith do to you?...
-
Nah... Bernier / Smith tandem... To CGY: Howard To DET: Smith, 3rd round pick, Glenn Gawdin
-
Where is Nestrasil these days? Could have had an all Czech line... Zadina - Nestrasil - Frk Sulak - Hronek
-
Is it the same friend that told you that Bergevin offered Holland the 3rd overall pick for the 6th overall pick and Mantha?... Maybe you should find a more reliable "source" / better "friend"...
-
I'd do it for a mid 1st, but the Leafs are expected to pick in the 26-31 range. F*** that!
-
I heard we're in talks with Calgary and Howard + Abdelkader for their 1st in 2019 and 2nd in 2020 is on the table. Also, Dallas are interested in Daley + 5th in 2019 for 1st in 2019. Looks like we could end up with FOUR 1st round picks this year!!!
-
Again, I really hope you're right. Still would have liked to draft Wilde over Berggren, but ah well... I'm confident that we have enough really good young players / prospects, I'm just not so sure we have enough truly "elite" players / prospects... yet. It looks like Larkin could be approaching elite status. Zadina could get there. Hronek or Cholowski could get there, but I wouldn't bet on it. Hopefully whoever we draft in the first round this year becomes elite. But yeah, as far as depth and support players, we're looking really good.

McIsaac continues to torch the Q, with 48 points (12 goals, 36 assists) in 39 games. Leads all defensemen with 1.23 point per game. He's also averaging 3.15 shots on goal per game. I hope you're right @kipwinger. Top 4 two-way defenseman capable of 25-35 points in the mold of a (prime) Brad Stuart? I'd take that...

2/12 Road to Predation / Red Pred Redemption GDT - Red Wings @ Predators - 8:00 PM ET
krsmith17 replied to Dabura's topic in General
He actually played 82 games last season between Prince George, Portland and Grand Rapids (regular season and playoffs)... I don't really have an issue with scratching Cholowski (he hasn't been great), or even sending Hronek down to Grand Rapids (he can still work on some things). Hell, send Cholowski down too if they feel that's what's best for his development... What I have an issue with, is never holding any of the veterans accountable for poor play. Not a single veteran has been healthy scratched in the past couple seasons, despite poor play at (often) times. Aside from injury, has Ericsson, Daley, Nielsen, Vanek, Abdelkader missed a single game? Not that I can recall...
