I still think Hronek has a much higher ceiling than Sulak. Hronek makes a ton of mistakes, but Sulak makes a TON more. Mistakes are going to happen to any rookie defenseman, but I think theres a higher chance that the 20 year old figures it out over the 24 year old. Sulak is an adventure (good or bad) every time he's on the ice... Hronek also has 3 points in 6 games, the same as Cholowski, and better than Sulak or Hicketts' zero.

It definitely won't be a popular opinion, but I don't disagree.

Mantha leads all Red Wings with 4 shots on goal. "He's lazy and he sucks". Rasmussen doesn't get a single shot on goal, and has zero impact on the game. "He looked really good tonight". Never change LGW, never change. Seriously though, imagine if Mantha wasn't so f***ing lazy... He'd be unstoppable. @ChristopherReevesLegs you called it. Mantha is literally Johan Franzen.

Yup, another two goals last night. 4th in points, 3rd in points per game in the Q. Assuming he stays healthy, he'll definitely finish top 3. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he finishes number one. The thing I find surprising though is that so far he's been putting up more goals (9) than assists (8). That may be a sign that he's having to do a bit more on his own. Really looking forward to see what he can do with better players (scorers), against the best of his age group when he suits up for team Canada at the WJC.

Holland was s*** a few years ago when he was attempting to keep the steak alive. Since then (the past couple years), he's been great. I'm all for a change, but not just for the sake of change. If we're making a management change (and the same goes for coaching), it needs to be for a notable upgrade. I'd be thrilled if Yzerman were to "come home", but admittedly mainly for the nostalgia. I do think he's one of the better GM's in the league, but I'd put Holland in that group as well. I'd be afraid his legacy might become tarnished if he doesn't have instant success here, and I think there's a real possibility that some people would turn on him pretty quickly. That's something I never want to see...

You mean Abdelkader isn't the worst forward in the league? Ericsson isn't the worst defenseman in the league? Howard isn't the worst goalie in the league? Blashill isn't the worst coach in the league? Holland isn't the worst GM in the league? The Red Wings aren't the worst team in the league? ... that last one may be true this season... I agree that none of the vets coming back makes much of a difference in the grand scheme of things, but I think adding Daley does make our defense slightly better. I'm also in favor of Cholowski getting as much time as possible paired with a solid veteran like Daley.

If only it were the fans that made the trades...

I'm assuming with Daley ready to go, Sulak is the odd man out, and that last spot is going to Hicketts. I'm okay with this decision. I'd like to see what Sulak can do getting big minutes down in Grand Rapids. They could definitely use him, and hey a fellow Czech for Zadina doesn't hurt...

De La Rose should be a great fit in Detroit. He is left-handed after all...
