I didn't put words in your mouth, I simply asked you questions... Feel free to refute what I'm asking you, but I didn't say you said a damn thing, other than "Mantha sucks", which you DID say... So again, has Mantha always sucked? Or is it just this season? If just this season, how is Mantha's 6 games a big enough sample size, but Rasmussen's is a small sample size?... For the record, I don't think Rasmussen sucks. I also don't think he should be sent back to juniors. I'm just giving you s*** about Rasmussen, the same way you give me s*** about Mantha...

You're right. Rasmussen's 5 games this season is smaller than Mantha's 6 games this season... Or are you saying that Mantha has always sucked? Did he suck last season when he put up nearly 50 points? If so, I hope his suckage continues to progress this season. It takes a special kind of fan to get down on a 50 point producer... But hey, Rasmussen is younger, bigger and was drafted higher, so he's obviously going to be better...

Joe Veleno with another big night tonight (2 goals and 2 assists). He's now 5th in the Q with 15 points (7 goals, 8 assists) in 9 games, and 3rd in points per game with 1.67. Getting closer to that 2 points per game pace.

I'd scratch Witkowski and Ehn... Bertuzzi - Larkin - Mantha Nyquist - Nielsen - Vanek Rasmussen - Athanasiou - Frk Abdelkader - Helm - Glendening

I agree. I'm all for keeping Frk in the lineup.

I gotta disagree there. I'd rather have Witkowski over Tootoo. But yeah, Witkowski should be the odd man out most nights. It really sucks that Svechnikov is going to miss that much time... I doubt he'll play a game with the Wings this season, and if he doesn't this season, he may never play another game with the Wings again. With Zadina, Veleno (and Hughes) pushing for spots next season, I don't like Svech's chances...

I was expecting a huge game from Mantha last night. That may have been the worst game I've seen him play all season ever... It was not pretty. He just didn't look like he wanted to be on the ice. Completely unengaged. -4, caused at least two goals against (3rd and 7th were ug-ly) and not a single shot on goal... Very, very disappointing. Athanasiou had another great game and finally got rewarded for it.

Never said you said any of those things... but lately you have been overly negative in my opinion, bordering on "the Lefties and Dickies"...

I'm really not sure what you were expecting this season... We're a bottom 5 team. We may finish bottom 3, maybe even dead last. That's not a bad thing in a draft that features Jack Hughes. I watch every game hoping we win, but knowing we'll lose more often than not. I'm okay with that. We've seen huge strides from some of the kids, and I'm sure we'll see more from others. We're FIVE f***ing games into the season. Mantha has been doing some good things out there, but he would be the first to admit that he needs to do more. I expect a big game from him tonight against his childhood team. Athanasiou has been doing a LOT of good things, but has been snake-bitten. It happens. I still expect AA to pot 20 this season, which is great for a middle six winger. I do think you've been overly negative lately, but whatever, to each their own. You can call me a homer, or whatever. Doesn't bother me. I'm well aware that I'm sometimes overly optimistic about certain players. It sure as hell beats the overly pessimistic approach, but that's just me. Holland is a has-been... Blashill is a never-was... Mantha is lazy and he sucks... Athanasiou is Helm 2.0... Howard sucks... DeKeyser sucks... the whole team sucks... Burn it down.

I can admit that Mantha is struggling (he is), but again, it's not near as doom and gloom as some (including yourself) make it seem.

I can't speak for CRL, but no I don't think Mantha has been playing that well. He definitely needs to step it up (I think he will), but I dont think he's been close to as bad as some are attempting to make it seem. He's still been one of our better players (not saying much), despite the lack of production. The points will come. And with points will come confidence. And with confidence will come more points... Mantha will hit 30 goals this season... I know, I know, he's on pace for 16 and he's lazy and he sucks... Mantha, hasn't been great, but he hasn't been bad either. Just curious, how do you feel about your boy Rasmussen thus far?

Frk is going to score a power-play goal. Cholowski is going to put up 2 points. And lazy Mantha is going to put up 3 points. 5-2 Wings.
