1/24 & 25 The ASG Brought to you by New Amsterdam Vodka GDT - Bertuzzi vs Everyone - 5 PM PT

Atlantic take the first game 9-5. Bertuzzi with 4 assists. -
Zadina out tonight. Kaser said it's an injury... Hopefully precautionary, nothing serious...
-
Fast forward a few more years and it's looking like taking Zadina 6th overall was the bigger win... at least that's what I'm hoping, and don't really see it as that far fetched to be honest... I would have taken McDavid over that package back then, and I still would today.

Watching the GR game. Tied 3-3, going into OT now, and the Griffs have a two man advantage for another minute or so. Zadina with two goals in regulation. -
Mantha might be done for the year - what now

Nah, I'm not really the told ya so type... Besides, like I've been saying for a while now, no I don't think Perlini has been given a fair shake, but I also don't think he'll ever be anything more than a bottom six forward at this point. No, I wouldn't. Loves a good hockey debate. Not so much against Fabbri, but maybe for Zadina. Didn't you know that new is better? -

Not really wild. Just fitting... I'm sure if Fabbri had 7 points in those 9 games with the Blues, you would have included them. You know how much I love climbing down into the trenches with you... I wasn't referring to the results of the poll. I was referring to Fabbri actually having better stats back then, not these arbitrary stats you're using now... -

But you're not... You wouldn't, because it doesn't fit your argument... Which, by the way, you're both arguing two different points. Who's holds more weight? I think the one that doesn't really have a dog in the fight... @Wheelchairsuperhero has been pretty neutral on Zadina. You on the other hand, have a very clear bias against Zadina. You also created that dumb "Fabbri or Zadina?" thread. At the time you created that, it was probably pretty even, maybe even favoring Fabbri a little. Since then, Zadina has pulled away, being the much better player of late. Zadina > Fabbri now, which hopefully means Zadina >>>>> Fabbri in the future. I'm just glad it's not an either or, and we can keep both. Zadina - top six, Fabbri - middle six. -

Like always you're spinning the argument to suit you. You're also very good at that... @Wheelchairsuperhero's original point was that Zadina has been better offensively than Fabbri since Zadina joined the team. Therefore not including Fabbri's stats before Zadina joined the team. He's right. If WCSH is cherry picking stats by only including Fabbri's stats since Zadina joined the team, you're also cherry picking Fabbri's stats by only including since he was traded. -

He said ONE of the best... Not THE best... -
Yeah, you'd have to consider offers, but like I said, it would have to be a MASSIVE overpayment, like the 2nd overall pick, another top 10 pick in this draft, and a top prospect, for me to consider it.
-
One small correction... I wouldn't say the Oilers still suck. They're currently 2nd in the Pacific, one point behind the Canucks. I think they'll comfortably make the playoffs, and with a few tweaks over the next couple years, likely a legit contender. I'd be shocked if the Oilers don't win a Cup in the next 10 years, on the back of McDavid, winning the Conn Smythe. I don't think I'd be saying the same thing if the Oilers had Eichel+ instead... Crosby was a generation talent, and helped the Pens win three Cups, at the age of 21, 28, 29. McDavid is only 23. He could definitely win a couple before he turns 30. Like @marcaractac said, Lafreniere may not be on the same level of Crosby and McDavid, but he's definitely in the conversation. For that reason, this is not your typical draft, where you might consider shopping that pick. Lafreniere may be the best player to come along since McDavid. He's that good. Trading that pick would likely be a monumental mistake. No GM is trading it, unless it's a MASSIVE overpayment...

He's good at this... -
LOL on a scale of 1-10, how upset are you? Cry more...
-
Perlini did have upside. It hasn't worked out. You were an idiot for saying he didn't have upside. Just like you were an idiot for saying Fabbri didn't have upside. They both did. One has worked out. The other hasn't. Oh well... Same goes for Comrie. Didn't work out. Oh well... Move on... You get upset really easy... Go back to watching your TV.
-
I've let it go. Other people (like you just now) just keep bringing it up... Me: "Perlini might not be anything more than a bottom six winger". You: "iF pErLiNi WaS sO gOoD". Imagine thinking that being a bottom six winger is "so good"... Me: "Comrie might not be anything more than an AHL goaltender". You: "iF cOmRiE hAd SuCh HiGh UpSiDe". Imagine thinking that being an AHL goaltender is "such high upside"... Please tell me what "made up facts" I've been spewing? I'd love to hear it... I watched both games the Griffins played against the Moose a couple weekends ago. Comrie looked good. Aside from that, I haven't once watched him, or looked up any stats on him. I couldn't care less how he does in Winnipeg's system.
-
The point wasn't that Comrie had this massive amount of potential. It was that he would be *at worst* s serviceable AHL goaltender. By the way, there have been plenty of players that have been exposed to waivers, only to go on to have successful NHL careers. Not saying this will be the case with Comrie. Likely not. But not out of the question either.
-
Comprehension is hard isn't it? An AHL goalie that we could have, get this, sent to the AHL... Me: I don't give a f*** about those players. You: It makes me laugh that your bothered by these players. You're b****ing about prospects, not picks. We can't get picks for our s*** prospects... You: Blashill is a moron and has no idea what he's doing. Also You: There's no way Blashill is mismanaging a player's minutes. Again, I don't give a f*** about Perlini or Comrie. Both were experiments that haven't paid off. Oh well. No big loss.
-
So you think it was smart to let a solid young goaltender go for nothing? I bet... You'd be the first to b**** if waived and lost a Turgeon or Pearson for nothing... "i really wish we could have traded him for a conditional 7th round pick instead of waiving him"... You, every time we lose a player on waivers... I'm not making excuses at all. The past two games are the first real opportunity Perlini has had with top six forwards. That is a fact. He may never be anything more than a bottom six winger. Are you disputing that?
-
You seem upset... I don't give a f*** about Eric Comrie. - "may never be anything more than an AHL goaltender"... I also don't give a f*** about Brendan Perlini. - "may never be anything more than a bottom six winger"...
