I disagree. I still think, in terms of talent, that the Red Wings are the better team. Posting 40 shots to 17 is just ridiculous. We've outplayed them in every game but game 2, ironically the only one we've won. The team needs to tighten up in front of Howard, quit defending a space instead of a man and try to break up Nashville's speed through the neutral zone (I feel like they're moving the puck up on us too easily). Our forwards need to be more physical, our defense needs to tighten up, and Howie needs to make a few more saves, but after watching these games (especially this game) has made it very difficult for me to accept Nashville as the better team. We dominated possession in their zone and unfortunately it didn't pay off this time. However, if we get a few bounces...this could be a whole new series real fast. I still have hope. So should you.

Exactly. As much as it sucks, it is what it is. I feel like the NHL needs to redefine the term intent. When it seems as if one's intent is to injure another player (at least in the Weber/Z case) there isn't a suspension. However we all know what happens when a referee has the intent to blow the whistle....

I do like adding Quincey to the defense but also cannot ignore the overpayment. Maybe the market is just tighter this year, but if we got Brad Stuart for a 2nd and 4th round pick then a 1st for Quincey seems like a lot. I suppose Holland just got away with highway robbery on the Brad Stuart deal...

Hahahaha well played. I felt like kind've an idiot because It never dawned upon me who else embarrassed the Dallas Stars when I posted the original comment, I mean it's easily the video i've watched the most on youtube haha.

Well that was a mistake, I've answered my own question: number 13 of course (I would post the link to the video but we've all seen it too many times haha)

But if we don't trade for Hemsky, then who will embarrass the Dallas Stars!? But, in all honesty this was a terribly written article. To think we would trade our soon to be best defenseman for an injury prone rental, who's only reached the twenty goal plateau twice in his career (although he does have a right handed shot) would be ridiculous. Also, what is this "The Wings have extremely low prospect depth at this time" Although we may not have the best prospects in the league, I feel like we do have a fairly decent prospect pool to pick from. One: The writer claims that we could send simply prospects for Edmonton. Two: He claims that they need defensive help. How does Kronwall's name get brought up before Kindl, Smith, or even Ericsson? A better package would be required to go through, but jumping right to Kronwall, seriously? Don't assume i'm suggesting we deal prospects and picks for Hemsky, i'm just pointing out the writers obvious mistakes. His entire article is logically flawed.

Easy guys, give some constructive criticism! Although I do not agree with some of the placement, predictions, or even the reason some players are on the list (JVR) it's still a solid list filled with good research. Nice work putting together a good list of some of the younger talent in the NHL!

In the Fall I'll be heading to college and am extremely nervous about missing all the Red Wings action live! Of course, I can still keep track of how they're doing, and get in game feedback through different sports applications that give you up to the minute feedback (or at least close to it) but I'm curious if there are any recommended or strong websites that broadcast the Red Wings games live all season long! If necessary i'll head to restaurants around the area to watch the game, but I can only do that so often due to the fact that I, like every other college student, will be piss broke. I really don't know what I would do if I'm forced to take a leave of absence from watching my team, any suggestions are welcomed!
