I didn't like the Souray hit on abdelkader at all. In today's NHL if Abby left on a stretcher after that, rightly or wrongly he'd probably be suspended. I ask the question just because if it was on the other side I want to know if people would still say it's a clean hit? I thought the hit was dirty yesterday, and have since softened my stance to it was borderline and coulda gone either way, really. One he got tossed I expected a 1 game suspension.

The NHL f***ed up. Not the first time, won't be the last. Move on.

I have a question. If this was for example, Perry who hit Datsyuk like that, would the folk here at LGW still cry no suspension, that it was a clean hockey hit? Just curious.

I'd accept that but if that was Perry and not Abdelkader people here would want him tossed.

While true, most expect Babcock to coach Canada after taking them to a gold medal last Olympics, so it wouldn't be a shocker to see him named again. Just feel it's about something not related to it

Don't think brunner wanted to do that interview haha. Also smith is playing his first full(half) NHL season and will be better for it. People are too quick to judge players IMO give him some time he will be solid.

I would love to be optimistic and understand we have a game in hand. But I felt tonight was a huge game to prove just how much the team wants to get the 8th spot. And we folded against Calgary. No matter how good their goaltending is, good teams find a way to win. Teams desperate for playoffs find ways to win. There's time to fix it and get that 8th spot, but I'm just not feeling it after that game tonight. You had Columbus against the ducks, most would expect them to lose that. And you have us looking to put a gap against Calgary and we served that up. I won't be surprised at all if we miss
