But saw it in twitter that people think he will get traded by the habs, and was said we were front runners. Again it was just a retweet by a friend on twitter by an account I'm not farmiliar with. Just curious what people's thoughts on here are about; 1. Subban himself 2. If we should go after him 3. What Montreal would take for him, assuming he won't come cheaply. I've defended him on my short time here and elsewhere around the internet. I even defended the contract when everyone cried we over paid. He's looked damn good so far this season, I hope he continues improving, and playing consistently

Sorry but that's an awful post. Howson flat out refused to trade to us, so our offer is irrelevant in the end. Praise and Suter wanted to play in Minnesota. We offered long term contracts for a lot of money to get them here, maybe a little less on praise but it was unlikely we would sign both. Just because players arent coming here doesn't mean we have lowballed anybody. It means a gm doesn't want to trade to a rival and the other two wanted to be together and go home.
