I'm okay with this. There was nobody I was dying to have. People really need to remember that the "price" that Holland refers to isn't just about money. It's also about what players we'd have to give up. I'd rather him hoard prospects now than give them away for players that are only marginal improvements to our roster. Holland makes no moves and everyone loses it but if he gave the teams what they asked from us I promise half of this board would be flipping out over what we gave up.

This is incredibly sad. I'm torn between wanting to see the hit to see what happened and at the same time not wanting to see a hockey play that ended a guy's life. My thoughts are with this poor family.

The only thing more annoying than hearing Holland say "we like our team" is seeing that quote posted in every single thread.

All I want in life is for the Penguins (and Vancouver while I'm making wishes) to lose in the first round and then for Detroit to just sweep everyone and meet Boston (my favorite eastern team and fave team to play) to meet in the finals and Detroit to win. Am I asking too much? Seriously though, I really hope the Penguins get swept in the first despite all the moves they've made.

It's never going to stop bothering me that owners spent the entire lockout whining about contract length and overpayment and then continue to sign everybody for as long as they can and as much as they can afford.

Bugs me that people will be all over Holland if we don't get him. Google his name and the Red Wings are constantly mentioned. We've made it no secret we want him and if we don't get him you'd be an idiot to think Holland didn't offer everything he possibly could.

It's kind of at the point where everybody wants him and now I mostly want him just to say we won. Sort of an "I don't know if I want him but I don't want anybody else to have him" ...my feelings towards this signing are starting to sound less hockey fan and more crazy ex-girlfriend.
