I read an interesting article about 3 on 3 that said it really isn't about speed like everyone thinks. 3 on 3 leads to breakaways regardless of speed. Guys like helm get on breakaways all the time anyway and convert at a really low rate. The guys you really want out there are the ones who are really creative with the puck but don't necessarily get on breakaways very often, aka datsyuk and zetterberg

My way too specific predictions for the east Atlantic: 1. Tampa (should win the east, compete with Anaheim for presidents trophy) 2-3. Detroit and Montreal (pretty much a toss up as Detroit got better and Montreal didn't. Depends on if Price can be a hart candidate again) Metro: 1. Rangers (Didn't lose too much. Lundqvist will be very motivated to win a cup) 2-3. Washington or Pittsburgh (both got better. Neither will go far in the playoffs. Pittsburgh has no depth and Washington always disappoints) Wild cards: Columbus, Islanders, Ottawa, Florida (probably in that order) Again, way too specific but wouldn't this set up some intriguing playoff match ups? Tampa and NYI are built pretty similarly, Det and Mtl is an original 6 matchup I've wanted to see for a while, Wsh and Pitt is NBC's dream match up and NYR vs CBJ would be fast and physical and tough to top!

Green has a good slapshot and a great one timer. He actually takes a lot of wrist shots from the point too. Pretty much just shoots it every chance he gets. Realgud. I wonder who smith will play with this year. He would probably do well with Dekeyser but green is already slated in that spot and is better suited for the top 4 role anyway. I can't see smith and kindl being trusted to play together on a line so I would guess that Quincey takes a spot on that line and either smith or kindl sits

We weren't looking for a defensive defenseman. Every defenseman we have is stellar defensively aside from smith's frequent mistakes and E's occasional mistakes. Kenny knows exactly what he's paying for with Green
