I know his chance at winning the Art Ross is a "coulda, woulda, shoulda" situation, but everyone in the league had the same opportunity when Crosby got injured. And yes, their team does suck at defense and his stats would not be as high if they were better defensively. However, this is also on their goalie and defensive pairing and not just St Louis' issue. Also, it's good to see Ovechkin scoring too after his abysmal performance last year.

I found it absolutely laughable that members of this board thought Brunner would be anything but mediocre this year. You are throwing a player who hasn't developed under American hockey, hasn't played as many games in a year as he has this year, and hasn't gained the physical strength needed to play in to the NHL with top line minutes and expect him to flourish? Brunner is VERY talented and will be a great player in the near future, but the guy is exhausted. Zetterberg is exhausted. Most of the players that went to Europe to play are exhausted. Let Brunner settle in for a year where games are spread out and injuries aren't so rampant and you'll see he can be a great player.

Whatever gets him to start skating, I'm all for it. He can center all 4 lines if he needs it to play well.

Tatar has better hands than Betuzzi, but I see what you're saying.

I'm all for keeping Cleary because he has heart, but give the dude 4th line minutes. He cannot compete like he used to and he is just too beat up to try and play top minutes. Sammy and Bert are a waste of cap, I would have rather splurged their combined salary and got a big body power forward. It is what it is.

I've always liked Kindl, I'm glad to see he's showing he can perform at the NHL levels and that Wings fans are noticing! May not have been great today, but he is fitting in well overall.

Yeah the only thing I see here is possibly charging and his fists are high, but this is a pretty textbook example play in hockey.
