I'm not thrilled with sending him down. However I believe what was said above is true. We really don't want to lose E or Kindl to waivers. Plus letting Smith get first pair minutes in GR isn't terrible to keep him going until playoff time when he may be needed. I do not agree with Smith being in GR next year on any level however.

I wouldn't be fast to dismiss trading Stuart. If you watched the game tonight Stuart wasn't on the ice with Kronwall every shift. More than a couple shifts I saw Quincey out there with White and Kronwall with Lidstrom. Just saying... Edit: To my knowledge not all of them were PP or PK shifts, though I suppose I could be wrong.

I'm not sure who I'd be willing to part with for Carter. It'd have to be a heck of a deal for Holland to justify it I think.

I'm not sure what I would do in Holland's place. I keep thinking I want to add something, but then I say who would I replace? I think Hudler would be the first to go, however he's playing fairly well at the moment. While I know the whole season is a different story, but what if he just needed a bit more time to get back into his groove from before Russia? I guess I'm just not sure what I'd want to part with or who I'd want to add.

hello all. new to these forums and this one seems to be fairly hot right now so a good place to jump in. i have to admit i've been at times eager to see some things happen to shake things up in the past 5 games. however, when i look at something like shots on goal, it appears the boys are just not on target right now and things aren't bouncing their way. their defense hasn't been too bad outside of the caps and sharks game. jimmy has been fantastic. i liked moving up nyquist for hudler tonight. even though he didn't do much, it was his first real pro game and he is going to have to adjust to the speed of the game. but we all saw him in preseason and he looks like he could be a very good addition to the roster. i'm not too fond of cleary's play right now, however i'm willing to wait a bit to see if he'll pick it up and play more like he did last year. i think what this team is missing right now is a dany heatley type player who is just a flat out scoring machine. maybe i'm wrong, but we haven't had a great scorer since Z had his conn smythe year. hopefully someone will wake up soon.
