I'd be scared of holland throwing in someone I'm personally high on for a rental Mantha athanasiou bertuzzi holmstrom svechnikov up front for me I'd really wanna keep unless your telling me were getting a Seth Jones/Roman josi type in return (rather give a nyquist in a package deal, which is ironic considering my username) Doubt were gonna lose a highly thought of prospect on waivers .... Only one I can think of is jurco, which I can't see with Blashill being high on , think we'd get rid of Miller before jurco with him being only 23

Nosek and ouellette recalled Kinda disappointed in nosek , mantha should of got it ... Nosek seems like the safe 2 way guy ... We got loads of those

If larkin were on most teams he'd be probably playing this year for sure ... That being said what if larkin dominates camp and pre season and forces the organization to fit him in Where does he play? I think he'd be good on the 3rd line center spot but first thought that's sheahan/helms spot right ? Who would we trade away? At first thought with pavel gone to start the year and if mule returns ... Zetterberg sheahan abelkader Tatar richards nyquist Pulkkinen larkin Franzen Miller helm glendening Who's left out? Andersen, cleary ... If pavel returns then we'd have to potentially get rid of a pulkkinen to keep larkin unless mule returns and when pavel returns sheahan goes down to 3rd moving larkin to 4th ? Can't see the wings trading sheahan Just rambling on here , great chances he starts in Grand Rapids if we go by wings past ways Just can't wait for the season to start

Part of me wants mantha called up and part me doesn't Mantha is doing awesome, we should let him continue to dominate and gain confidence....Other part of me thinks bring up this big body who can skate and can score to play with datsyuk Hank has his own kid in Larkin, and pavel has Richards(who is an upgrade on Weiss, but personally not high on) and helm who's a really good 3rd and 4th liner ... We're wasting datsyuk's and zetterbergs last few yrs , and what other forward are we going to get on the trade market with the upside of mantha? I remember when we went to the finals in 08 and 09 we had 2 young kids ... Abdelkader and helm ... Maybe this time we got Larkin and mantha? And who knows if mantha comes up and dominates maybe we can use a few pieces for a dman ? Watched the whole game , Mantha was f***en awesome Anyone who thinks he won't have a good future in Detroit hasn't been watching him play

And mantha added 2 assists ... Now if he could really get that goal scoring back on track and start racking up some 2 goal games all will be good Nice to see frk score again with another assist, be nice if he came back alive in the wings prospect pool

I know Injuries will likely happen but if I recall sproul ouellet Jensen and marchenko who's already in Detroit will all have to go through waivers next year? Defensemen are at a premnium and they'd get claimed for sure ... Ouellet is most likely a future redwing u less he's dealt ... Same as marchenko who's already up Sproul has been doing great and I don't wanna ruin the progress by Calling him up too soon, Jensen I'd like to see have a shot at 3-5 games in a row see how he does and if he's got a future here or can have some value in a trade package Kindl is a goner ... Quincey is a ufa and likely gone and smith although been better of late I don't Invision being a longtime redwing .... Time to see some of those young dmen, if not package one + others for a ufa like byfuglien ,think we got a real shot these playoffs to make some serious noise

I'm asking cause I just seen my local sports lottery added the Calder trophy winner and I find the odds they've given Larkin are high(which is good if you wanna take him) Panarin 1.75 Domi 3 Eichel 6 Bennett 10 Parayko 15 Larkin 15 Lindberg 20 Ehlers 25 Any other 7 With mcdavid out , might be biased but I think Larkin has a really great shot at winning the trophy , he plays with hank/pavel , great 2 way player and will get tons of ice time I think he beats panarin even if he ends up with more points(as long as it's close enough) due to the fact that he's 19 and panarin is 24 already I think he's better player overall than domi, and I can see him slowing down a bit since Arizona should likely miss the playoffs ... Only one that worries me a bit is eichel if he just steps into high gear , but if Larkin ends up close enough and is +30 for example and eichel is -30 I'm guessing it would go to larkin Anyways enough of my rambling , I just wanna see who most of you guys think will win? Top 3? I'd say 1 Larkin 2 eichel 3 domi (I'd of considered parayko if he kept up his play all year but I heard he got hurt?)

I'm not worried about mantha + there's some guys that for some reason have better numbers in the NHL than ahl ...mantha has all the tools, abilities,size,skating,shot that if he plays with a Larkin/athanasiou in Detroit he will produce It's not like mantha is the only guy having problems this year ... Doesn't bertuzzi have 1 goal? Nosek 1? Maybe the problem is the coach , he did a disaster job in Edmonton and Grand Rapids started like 1-9? Maybe we're winning despite him Could be wrong but I'd say the best players from the 5-6 games I seen and stats are mostly dmen with the exception of athanasiou ... Besides Andreas and the vets the forwards are doing nothing And to be honest I got no interest in the vets I'd be more concerned with trying to get the next wave of hopefuls lighting it up , not the tangredi's of the team

Quick trade glendening to the leafs for a 1st

I was checking up on Russia's camp roster for the junior championships and saw svechnikov and his linemate was invited to camp together ... Fellow Russian Went and check on hockeydb and he's undrafted ... He's gonna be 20 next month, thing is he only 155 but he produces and I was wondering if a team wanted to sign him or someone during the year that wasn't drafted they can't right? Guessing it's only after the draft teams can invite players to camp and then sign them if they want or else teams have to wait till the following draft day or when they are past draft eligible age?(22?)

Ya was talking about him ...ya I'm guessing he's draft eligible since he's turning 20 next month and some players who were 20 were selected last draft He's only 5'10 159 I believe but I'm sure someone Will take him in the later rounds ... I'm guessing though if we Invited him to camp before the start of the season we could of signed him like we did Joe hicketts Pretty sure we can't sign him now if we wanted to though

Richards has been pretty useless ... Our offence has been good, nothing wrong with getting jurco going and giving us 3 good lines +helm glendening Andersson can do a good job on the 4th Anyways the way things are going wouldn't be surprised to see jurco gone during this season or dealt in the off season... Playing on the 4th line isnt going to do anything ....+athanasiou and Callahan can be called up at anytime Hope I'm wrong but I think his days are numbered

He needs to play with someone else other than glendening and Andersson We should be trying to get him going after his ahl stint went so well rather than 2 guys with one goal who will likely be gone next year The way the lines are now , bottom 6 I'd like to see Helm Larkin jurco Andersson Richards glendening Or put jurco with countryman Tatar Tatar Larkin jurco .... That could be a special line .... For now anyways he's on the 4th so I wouldn't be expecting much on the scoreboard

How many of those were on the 4th line with grinders?? Kids got talent , how about giving him 10 games In a row with a Larkin,Tatar,nyquist,hank or pav? We're clearly trying to make him a grinding forward on the 4th ... If this continues he will be go this yr or next, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a more of offensive role in another team

Ya prove himself on a 4th line with glendening and Andersson I don't understand Blashill , praises jurco .... Sends him down gets 1st star of the week after dominating there , comes back and gets scratched after one game No he gets another chance .... On the 4th line with 2 guys with no hockey skill ...don't get it Larkin is with helm who scored his first goal on a giveaway/open net and richards who has 0 goals .... Think it's safe to say Richards won't be here next year and helm will likely be gone as well,jurco should be with Larkin next game I understand it's the ahl, but jurco dominated there at 20-21, went back down and dominated yet again,it's not like he's some ahl veteran .... Blashill needs to give him some real linemates for 5-15 games Sadly this is jurco's last stand

Thanks for the info , watched about 4-6 games but just of much hockey on and other stuff so hard to watch every game Sucks for frk , got a ton of promising kids coming so not a huge loss but had hopes for him, could of been used in a trade deal for something ... Oh we'll Great news on sproul , nice to see him playing well , still only 22?23? And defensemen take longer to develope so still hoping he's a top 4 and ppl quarterback. Personally for me I think we'd be way better right now if ouellet marchenko and possibly Jensen were up right now so you don't have to sell me on them Smith and kindl don't have a longterm future in detroit(my opinion) so I'd much rather see Jensen get in some games ,cause I'm pretty sure ouellet will be here full time next season, marchenko seems to be liked here and plays a save 2 way game Unfortunetly of the 4 I see Jensen being gone .... Smith kindl Quincey for ouellet marchenko sproul? Kids need to get in some games now or it could be ugly next season if we have 3-4 rookies in the lineup in the backend at the same time

Unfortunately islanders are screwed cause teams know hamonic want out ... In the words of the Rolling Stones ... You can't always get what you want Whether it happens or not i think at the end of the day they'd be happy to get this 1st d rated prospect josh morrisey in a package deal ...they can get Hamilton off the flames, but doesn't sound good that the flames are willing to trade him after just signing him(he's not what they expected him to be)

Thing is jets won't be able to afford to keep trouba Myers hamonic and byfuglien I'd be just as happy if we were involved in the 3 way deal and ended up with byfuglien ... If we decide to resign him or let him go at the end of the year would depend how he would play here And since he's a ufa and we'd be one of 3 teams in the trade scenario I wouldn't think it would be a huge price if the jets got hamonic .... Maybe if we sent them local boy helm(think he'd fit in nice there on the 3rd line ) 2nd rounder maybe and a kindl/smith or mid prospect like Jensen it could be done We should make some type of move now (doesn't have to be huge deal) while pavel and hank are here
