I personally wouldn't if it meant Larkin ... Stupid or not think the fact that he's a Michigan boy is just icing on the cake ... Yes it's still early but Larkin looks like he can be a future captain of the wings , local boy and has toews 2.0 with more offensive skill and skating ... Don't think we'd give him up for anything at this point being realistic ekblad and oel are cornerstone players and aren't going anywhere unless it's as a ufa , so like you said very unlikely We're gonna have to draft the next top dman out hope to find one who didn't filly develop yet on a team and make a trade and hope he becomes a star with the wings (like chara became after islanders dealt him) I think we should try and get in the hamonic deal , he won't come here but maybe we could get In a 3 way deal with nyi and Winnipeg/Calgary and get someone like byfuglien/Myers/trouba or Brodie ... Depending on the price

True ... But Larkin has been praised by a lot of people before the start of the year as the potential steal of the draft unlike some guys like Jim Carey/Barrett jack an who had good rookie seasons who came out of nowhere and later dissapeared (those are the 2 who come to mind ) It's also true we don't have top d men prospects , but a lot of them take longer to develop so let's hope a sproul becomes one of them .... That being said I personally think ridding ourselves of kindl/smith right now and having marchenko/ouellet instead would make us better Also think with Tatar/nyquist and possibly pulkkinen and jurco if he turns it around (think he still can) as potential top 6 guys I'd might trade nyquist in a package for someone like roman josi

Not trading larkin for anybody at this point, if hes producing the way he is now imagine in 2-3 yrs how good he can be ...he'll be one of the next wave of wings players to lead the way He's also 19 where as some of the names I saw being mentioned like Tavares,toews etc ... Are 7-8 yrs older ... If we're lucky we got Dylan for the next 20 yrs

Rather of had Ferraro over Andersson but doesn't matter .. I know he's been a disaster last few years but if he's willing to sign a one year deal for like 2 million I sign him in a heartbeat and put him with pavel datsyuk and hope he gets 30-40 goals again If there's one fellow russian that'll get him going again, on the ice and off it's pavel

Saying top 9 to me or 6 doesn't mean anything to me if we got 3 great lines that can score at any given time makes us a threat .... Yes you can look just at numbers and say these our top 6 and be done with it but imagine having a nyquist on the 3rd line in the playoffs vs other teams bottom lines and dmen That could be the difference in us advancing to the next round or not .... You can look at abdelkader and say he's not as skilled as the zetterbergs and datsyuks so let's put him on the 3rd but he gels well with them and does the dirty work We have way too much skill and talent this year to just say these our top 2 lines ... We should try and find the right chemistry between guys and get 3 legitimate lines that can produce during a game at any given time instead of always depending on zetterberg and datsyuk

Jurco needs to play top 3 lines with skilled players to produce not 4th and he needs to get some games to get going , what's he played one game? Not gonna do anything playing one game on a 4th line He's a skilled played and needs other guys to play off with .... Problem is there's just to many guys on this team as much as I'd love to see jurco play .... Looks like blashill is more on pulkkinen's side and the way he's starting off he could get 20-30 this year so can't see him being taken off Personally with Larkin making the team and the way Richards started off I'd get rid of him to make the kids play but I know it won't happen I'd like to see this With datsyuks return around the corner ... Abdelkader datsyuk zetterberg Tatar Larkin pulkkinen Nyquist sheahan jurco Helm glendening Miller For the next few games maybe since zetterberg can dish the puck I'd put pulkkinen on first line for a few games with hank and abdelkader and put jurco Larkin Tatar and see what happens

I don't think there's any doubt Larkin is staying put ... When datsyuk returns I can see him centering nyquist and Tatar and giving us 2 great lines ... As for Richards I don't know what we'll do with him I'd rather see Sheahan cantering the third line with helm and pulkkinen, but I can't see them putting Richards on the 4th line so either helm drops and Richard stays or pulkkinen drops , but seeing as blashill saw him lead he ahl in goals firsthand I can't see him taking him out And unless someone else gets hurt this really sucks for jurco who I wanted to see get a fair shot here... But ya back to Larkin lol .... He's going nowhere

I seen some of the griffins game and ouellet looked really good , had some nice rushes to the net , looked fast Kindl didn't look to good tonight (then again so did a lot of the guys) ... I'd really like to see us bring up ouellet and get rid of kindl and possibly smith(just can't see him here longterm) and maybe bring in a marchenko/Jensen as well Think we'd be a better team ... I know it's easier said than done but At first thought I'd see kindl/smith going to l.a since the d has been so slow and can't get the puck to the forwards
