I had read somewhere that the hawks might trade a defensemen or 2 since they got a lot of good dmen coming up and not enough spots Went and check Chicago and they got 15 defensemen on hockeysfuture and 10 with a 6.5 + rating Went and check detroit ... 8 defensemen and only 4 with a 6.5+ rating ... This team is already in a lidstrom situation , never recovered from losing him ...we have a stud goalie coming up and very promising forwards coming up in larkin mantha athanasiou holmstrom bertuzzi , and other players who have a good chance in making it to the nhl in nosek,turgeon and nastasiuk as well as kids now In Tatar nyquist sheahan jurco and pulkkinen next season Our defense besides dekeyser is lacking ... Kronwall is what 34?ericsson is in his 30s I believe ,Quincey ufa What we need is to prioritize this draft and try to draft some good dmen that could at least develop and play In the top 2 pairs or were gonna end up having to over pay for the dion phaneufs of the world

Saw on twitter something about how the flyers haven't made any contact with lecavaliers agent on buying him out .... I was curious and went and check Lecavalier has 3 years 4.5 cap hit left I'm Not saying id do it but weiss has 3 years and 4.9 cap hit left Would anyone take a gamble and make the trade?and then buy out lecavalier if he's god awful? Contracts similar so it's 2 teams trading a problem for another I'd probably try and trade weiss with some of his salary paid , rather then dealing with his contract for 4 years , or the 2nd option would be to just bury him in Grand Rapids for the season

As bad as the jaw injury was you need your legs more to play hockey than your jaw ...I'm no doctor but I'm sure a leg injury could effect his your play on the ice , with a broken jaw after sometime off you put your protection and your good to goAnd again don't forget mantha didn't have training camp and exhibition games so when he came back he was already not in playing shape And he finished with a goal behind athanasiou ... Not like athanasiou blew him out of the water (nothing against athanasiou, like the kid ) Before it was mantha was just good cause he played against 17-18 yr olds and now it's he steamrolled through weaker competition in the juniors ... Well he was named one of the best players at the world junior championships against the best of the juniors , what's the excuse now? Mantha played in the league he was in ... It was out of his control , ahl is a tougher league and he learned from it and will get better .... Why you already writing him off after a injury ridden first season? As far as I know without checking drouin didn't light it up and he was 3rd overall and couldnt even get in the lineup during the playoffs .... What a bust To date mantha's played 60 games ... Far to soon to be judging him ... Don't forget Tatar was in Grand Rapids for 4 years

Didn't see dylark help floaty mcmanthason get 100+goals and help him dominate the world juniors and get him named as one of the best forwards of the tournament?Seriously think everyone needs to relax and see how he does with a full season under his belt before writing him off

Chicago is gonna need cap space to resign saad and a few others and they have toews and kane getting 10 mill + on the cap They have 7 million left in cap space and a bunch of roster spots to fill up .... Don't buy it cause you can say your open to trade anyone ....nobody besides damian cox has come out and said wings are open to trading mantha and/or the first The wings are always open to trading the first rounders and moving back for extra picks ...
