I'm personally not to high on erik johnson and I doubt anyways colorado would deal him as they got problems in the back end as well And ya I know dallas wouldn't just take kindl alone for the pick, I'm just thinking they'd have no interest at all (could be wrong) ... Umm according to that article we didn't sign them , but I don't know about a deadline ... Was gonna ask if anyone's heard of hampus melen resigning? They didn't mention him and if he's not signed he goes back to the draft as well Not the best but if ouellet and marchenko move up we have 6 prospects at d and one is like 5'8(hicketts) and the other is dissapointing(sproul) ... Fedorov has better/similar stats than zetterberg and datsyuk and more cups and an mvp and people here are saying hank and pav will get their jerseys retired( not saying I disagree on that) So basically it's because fedorov left the wings and had some apparent beef with Mike illitch and played somewhere else or else if he got injured he'd have his jersey retired for everything he's done Just can't agree with that at all .... He had almost 1000 pts as a wing and is number 3 on all time playoff points with 163 pts (22 behind with 34 less games played) ... Think those numbers speak for themselves If he retired after 13 yrs as a redwing would you of said yes?

I'm pretty sure you and I weren't old enough to see sawchuck and plante but I do know they won awards and back then there weren't many teams to choose from to go play for good or badAs for smith and fuhr they also won awards and were 2 of the better goalies of the 70s-80s , no way is that the case of osgood Now you wanna talk numbers .... Even you can't deny there was more goal scoring back in the day than the last 15 yrs so obviously goalies like Ozzie will have better numbers than past goalies You look around last few years and guys like mike smith and niemi had some great numbers compared to back in the day but I don't believe they are any better

It's the new nhl, it's harder to see a player stay with the same team during 20 yrs He stayed in detroit for 13 years.... Not chump change ... He's just not as great as you think he is ... If he played his whole career in nyi and slt he would of won nothing ... Look back at the wings lineups during those glory years ... Was he offered more money in 97 than he ended up getting ? I didn't believe he did , I ended up researching federov last night and saw he made 28 million for a shortened year(12 which was made for us making the conference finals and he also led us in goals in the playoffs to another cup win) I can understand people being pissed at him eventually leaving and the contract situations , I believe he would of been more productive in detroit than he was after he left Money is money though put it aside and you can't deny what he did in detroit for 13 seasons were remarkable and was a major reason we won 3 cups and we should all thank him for everything he gave to detroit Last thing I'd wanna see is for the fans to forgive him 30 yrs from now and he gets his jersey retired when he's an old man like the habs did with so many of the past players
