Ericsson isn't perfect but he's a big body which we lack and Quincey hasn't been awful this year and has 1 yr left and will be gone after that I'd rather sit out smith at this point sometimes he goes to crazy and is all over the place ... Paterson's not ready ...gonna get 2-4 yrs now with Grand Rapids at least ... as I suggested if we gave mrazek the starting job I'd get a capable backup goalie who can play 20-40 games if need be I quickly thought nicklas backstrom from the wild but I didn't know he was already 37 so pass (damn time flies) didn't check other teams goalie situation but someone like that And the main reason I said I'd consider trading howard if mrazek dominated the rest of the way and got us pretty far in the playoffs is I still consider howard a nhl number 1 goalie and he could fetch us a nice return to help us win a cup next few seasons with hank and pav still here And we get keep our best assets/prospects while doing it and still having a good goalie 99% sure though were gonna go into next season with howard and mrazek as the 2 goalies

He's got everything to be the star elite goalie I dont think we ever had ... We had hasek(who's happens to be my fav all time goalie)but he was in the end of his career Now if it was up to me if let's say mrazek goes on a tear to end the season and he backstops us till say game 7 2nd round or eastern conference finals type playoffs I'm willing to get a veteran backup goalie who can play half the games if need be and strongly consider trading howard in a blockbuster deal and getting some pieces back that will help us contend for the cup next few years with hank and pav still here I know it won't happen but I'd be more than willing to trade howard if mrazek goes nuts the rest of the way

Howard is a number 1 goalie but not a star elite goalie in my opinion ... Someone who can steal you series by themselves , I believe mrazek will be a star goalie in this league Mrazek has the swag, the confidence to never let a bad goal get him down , he's already been successful in his career and he's just 22 ... I think he's the future and howard In a year or 2 will be nice trade bait Now as for the rest of the year we all know Babcock loves to ride the hot goalie .... What happens if mrazek wins tonight ? Then let's say wins 10 straight games before losing ... Think Babcock will start mrazek in the playoffs? Or start the veteran howard? Another thing on howard ... To make it clear I'm not blaming him for all these losses lately but some goals he's let in has been really bad and I'm sure can't be good for the team when there trying to come back in the games ... Yes it's important to play good defense but we have alot of good 2 way guys on the team .... I think if we have 4 lines with scoring threats it will cause headaches to other teams ... Mule on the 4th line playing against other 4th liners and bottom d pairs could get us big goals in key moments same with the 3rd line That being said Babcock loves miller so I dont think he wont go anywhere and the only chance pulkkinen stays is if he makes it hard for Us to send him down And besides no idea if mule returns and if someone will get hurt (knock on wood) so we'll have to wait and see
