Saw the game online athanasiou was really impressive and mantha showed some flashes of brilliance and I got no doubt those 2 will be in our lineup in 2-3 seasons As for pulkkinen I'd personally make room for him right now and give him the rest of the season and give him time to get going for the playoffs , where else we gonna trade for a guy with Pulkkinen's shot? We need every valuable asset right now to help us win while pavel and hank are with us and I think with Pulkkinen's shot and maybe on a 3rd line playing against other teams bottom 6 in the playoffs could really provide us with a few valuable goals

Callahan is 3rd on the team but he's also on Pulkkinen's line which helps his stats and is projected to be a bottom line player and went unclaimed on waivers and we haven't called him up thus far this season ... I hope he proves me wrong and becomes a key piece on a future wings grind line but personally I don't see it

Well Grand Rapids to be fair is stacked full of kids and vets ... I can't recall ever seeing our Grand Rapids team being this loaded with good prospects so I'm not willing to give up on frk who again just turned 21 Add to that even though it's the echl he's tied for 2nd on the team with 2 other guys with 18 goals in 24 games (others got 18 in 17 games more and are 4 years older) and has 31 pts in 24 games Point is at least he's not in the echl doing nothing which would be even worse and I expect him to be a full time Grand Rapids player next season which is why I'm willing to wait another year If you wanna write him off now that's fine You keep going on about value .... We trade jensen now what do we get ? 5th round pick? 4th if were lucky? ... We used 2 3rd round picks to draft turgeon so you'd have to think if we traded him now we'd get at least one 3rd rounder? So who's more valuable? Just because jensen is capable of playing right now on a weaker team he's more valuable? yet we'd somehow probably receive less? Now again with frk/Callahan stuff ... Loving sheahan thus far and I hope he is a top 6 guy as you say but I think it's too soon to say for sure that he will be ... Look at nathan mackinnon's struggles this year (and no I'm not comparing him to mackinnon) just saying I wanna see how he performs next year and year after to see for sure if he will be a top 6 guy That being said though he might have to play 3rd line for quite some time next few seasons with datsyuk and z still here and Tatar and nyquist being our leading goal scorers Got high hopes for sheahan though

I'm not willing to put ehn turgeon and frk(since he's 21 I'm willing to wait another season see where he's at) down with those guys On detroit I see about 10-15 guys ahead of jensen so if teams coming and asking for jensen on a trade lets say and we lose him I wouldn't be as pissed off about him going as say a sproul or ouellet Is jensen ahead of those guys you mentioned ? yes ... Marchenko being up here might just mean the wings see him ahead of jensen ... Yup being from montreal I get a lot of friends for years trying to convince me to be a habs fan (never gonna happen) and trying to convince me that redwings glory days are over and I keep bringing up the fact that we got all these guys coming up nobody knows about and how everyone's gonna be complaining once again and how we got the next datsyuk and zetterberg Been praising nyquist and mrazek for a few yrs to friends of mine and how mrazek is our future hasek (yes I know it's too soon but that's how I feel) Anyways I agree with you , not everyone will turn out to be great but I trust our organization and I believe we got some great people looking after our prospects

Well to honest with you I am concerned with pulk's overall game and if we had to throw in one of our top prospects in a deal to get a big name id rather it be him I did see on a show yesterday (think tsn's that's hockey) someone mentioned they'd rather forget about trading for evander kane and go for someone who's tearing up the ahl and no ones talking about and wouldn't cost as much ... So I do think other teams are noticing pulkkinen I think we can both agree though that we hope pulk is a star in detroit
