Wow that we had learned , can't believe ouellet was sent down .... It's gonna be ugly in detroit in 2 years when they decide to put 3-4 rookie defensemen in the back all at the same time At least nestrasil is getting a good shot onto the 3rd line , looking forward to watching him play

I wasn't happy lol ... I don't think people should hope for weiss to fail but be prepared incase he does . He hit 60 pt plateau twice playing on on a Florida team where he got top line minutes and ppl time and nothing was ever expected of him Prior to coming here he had 4 pts in 17 games with Florida and last year he had 4 in 26 here (injury or not) Now Babcock isn't even suiting him up , you don't think if weiss was doing so good in pre season and practice Babcock wouldn't put him in the top 2 lines ?especially with datsyuk out? I hope weiss wakes up and gets us a 60 pt season cause we really need it , I'm just not expecting it

I gotta say I'm kind of annoyed with people on the radio and tv overlooking the wings like they got no chance at winning the division and it's all bruins habs and tampa (although pierre McGuire did just say people will be surprised at how many good prospects they'll see that detroit has in the next few years) I look at last year and Weiss missed 56 games Helm 40 Zetterberg 37 Datsyuk 37 Ericsson 34 Franzen 28 Dekeyser 17 Besides last season and the shortened season we hit 100+pts 12 years in a row (and we still hit 93pts with all those injuries last year) I know some will say we had lidstrom , and your right but we still got a great roster and promising young players along with the best coach and maybe I'm being naive cause I'm a die hard wings fan but I think we can compete and win our division So just wondering, are the wings underrated? Or we clearly on the decline?

Along with telling media he'd be back Babcock also said something about if it's his last year in detroit so be it (don't remember the exact words) Again time will tell , I do think if he we continue to struggle with scoring goals and struggle all year it might just guarantee he walks

That's why I was thinking with the last pick for his draft could be a steal , i don't know how these things work but if he could pick him up on waivers someone else can as well correct? And it goes by Order so he might not even get it Ya it's a keeper league that's why i told him it could be worth it if he somehow continues to score at will, then maybe he can keep him as a player depending how he does ... He's taking over someone's team from last year who had a weak roster and is keeping Subban and the other guy is between kunitz pavelski and okposo I said okposo cause he's with Tavares and I'm not sold on kunitz and I don't know if pavelski will continue to be a pt a game player ... He's leaning towards kunitz I'm thinking if he continues to score ( he should return sometime in November?) then maybe he can in detroit sometime in January? I been saying for a long time how we needed to bring up a rookie every year so wouldn't be stuck with a bunch of rookies in the same season which is where we are headed Ouellet needs to start the season here and then next year sproul and whoever else (maybe even get a taste of nhl hockey during the season) There's a reason Babcock wanted ouellet over kindl in the playoffs ... Sure there will be some tough times but in the king run it'll make us better

I don't think smith is awful but I can't see him having a future in detroit , only time will tell but I think we're really fortunate and we got some great prospects that will be be nhlers and down the road better than smith (again time will tell) Course I'm talking about backman ouellet sproul and marchenko and there's also jensen the team is high on and I know we got some other 18-20 yr olds we drafted but still don't know how they'll develop Kronwall Ericsson and dekeyser are locks to stay so I gotta figure in the next 1-3 yrs all of Quincey lashoff kindl and smith will eventually be gone

Stocked full of 4th liners when guys like Callahan Ferraro nestrasil are out of waivers No ones ever happy , I'm sure we all disagree on a bunch of roster players If it were up to me kindl would be gone somewhere and we'd make a trade for Johnny oduya for this season till the kids can be here fulltime next year Miller and cleary wouldn't be here and jurco Callahan and possibly nestrasil would Realistically jurco will start in the ahl due to cleary and others who shouldn't be here and we will lose at least one of Callahan nestrasil Ferraro

First off on the back end I think ouellet should start the season,can't have ouellet and sproul or another join the team at the same time , I'd rather get in a young d(my picks ouellet)and by the time we get another in fulltime at least ouellet will have a season under his belt Mantha- think he should play in Grand Rapids but I got a gut feeling he will start the season in detroit and if he explodes can't see us sending him back down (I assume he'd play with pavel if he starts here) Pulkkinen - we need goal scoring and he can score so why shouldn't he be here? I think it's Time to bring in some of the younger pieces,it's the only way well be a lot better and contend with pavel and hank still here We should get rid of kindl and possibly lashoff and replace them with ouellet and possibly marchenko (we'd be way better defensively in the back end) Now upfront ...
