Nyquist is already 24 and hasn't done anything mind blowing yet(stat wise) you wanna get a 30 goal guy there gonna want a younger player with higher upside Mantha/jurco type prospect

I think Kenny needs to find a way to get rid of some bodies ... I think sheahan is playing himself on this team , not cause he's getting points but also cause he plays well defensively and is a young big body guy which we don't have

I'm not gonna blame for our losses but he hasn't won anything yet .... Mrazek was a stud in the junior championships a stud for the griffins .... He's got a cool demeanour a great confidence in himself and has swag I could be proven wrong and I'd admit it I was wrong but for me theres no doubt in my mind this kid is a future star goalie ... He just needs more starts A lot more ahl time than mrazek .... And he's already way ahead than where jimmy was when he was 21

As for jimmy I think he's a good goalie and I think he gets bashed too much by some fans but i don't think he's an elite goalie or top 10 I can think of guys who might be struggling this year but would be better (lundqvist, miller) others like quick rask niemi price ... Lehtonen is an underrated goalie and would do awesome In detroit .... Not putting into account age and Contract I'd say loungo is better today ... Bernier has serious upside and will be a top goalie In a few years .... Rinne when healthy ... That's all I can think of right now .... Id say he's in the middle of the pack with the bishops and bobrovskys(just my opinion)

Just saw Pierre Lebrun on TV saying whether it be by trade or July 1st Edmonton will get a true number 1 for next season .... My question ..... Would you give up say jimmy Howard and kindl or some young defencemen for Taylor hall or Jordan eberle??? Mrazek can play more next season and we can call up marchenko? I don't think Ryan miller or Jonas hiller would go there and I can't see Carolina trading ward .....only way I see Edmonton getting a starting goalie is by trade ..... Eberle was a big performer for team canada and I can totally see him showing up big time In the playoffs and I think hall Will be a 30-40 goal guy consistently one day I can see Edmonton more willing to do this if it was yakupov but I can see him going to the khl one day so I'd never consider it

If your 4th line goes all season with no goals then your in trouble(you need your 4th line to chip In a goal or 2 in the playoffs if your ever gonna go anywhere) Babcock just likes glendening because he's defensively responsible ....Callahan plays a gritty style and can occasionally fight and get under opponents skin ... We don't have tht kind of player here , don't know why we wouldn't just let him play a few games

Glendening works hard but he has no offensive skills .... I was asking for Callahan to be called up before he took over the scoring lead In Grand Rapids , he's out of waiver options along with Ferraro and sheahan next year (I said all 3 should get a few games in actually to see what they can do )Callahan plays a gritty style and can occasionally drop the gloves and can annoy players on other teams and now he's showing he can put the puck In the net .... I don't know why we wouldn't give him a 2 game stint and send back glendening down

At this point he could be the son of god he won't get called up

And yet again Callahan gets overlooked

Mason played for Columbus , a team that has done nothing but struggled since coming into the league and he seems to finally be turning it back around in philly Mrazek won the cup calder and was awesome in the junior championship tournament , I really think we got a future star goalie in our hands and I trust our organization not to ruin his progress I do think sheahan will be a really good 3rd liner but you just never know, he's been putting up good numbers and Franzen was also suppose to be a bottom 6 guy and he turned out pretty good And looking at our past draft history besides yzerman who did we have that turned out to be the stars we were hoping for when we drafted them? Lidstrom federov Konstantinov zetterberg datsyuk holmstrom Franzen Kozlov Fischer Ericsson helm All if them were either stars OR important pieces to our teams past and present And I don't think any of these guys were expected to do much when we drafted them so I do think we got a lot of guys in our prospect pool to get excited about If jarnkrok becomes a flop we got mattias janmark to be hopeful about .... Pulkkinen fails we got mantha who I think at the least can be a 30 goal guy with the release he has I do think we got some gems to come ... Futures bright

All this glendening love just bugs me , he's a career 4th liner .... Still has 0 goals yet we keep calling him up ALL THE TIME yet Callahan who has been awesome this year and is out of waivers next season doesn't even get a sniff of the nhl? Don't get it

Pulkkinen just turned 22 and I'd say there's a good chance he hits 20 + goals in his first season If he comes back next year and is on fire and gets 30+ I'm sure we'll give him every chance to make the team Samuelson clearly bertuzzi eaves are all gonna go ... Maybe alfredsson ... Who knows maybe one of miller Andersson will be dealt .... There's gonna be a lot of spots opening up next few seasons I expect sheahan to be here next year with glendening (unfortunately)and Callahan will get a shot , I can't see Ferraro being here longterm

Pulkkinen isn't 23 he just turned 22 this month .... It's way too early to say he's a bust .... I'd consider trading him depending on the deal but I'd say he's gonna be an nhler and from what i read over the years he can shoot Someone else mentioned maybe going after yakupov .....I'd be careful , I can totally see him leaving for the khl in a few years

I think sheahan can be part of a really good future 3rd line with Helm? He's got the size ... And it's to early to tell but I think backman can be really good I just saw a swedish article on him about leading the league at +23 , yes I know it's not the nhl but it's still a good accomplishment especially that he's only 21

Hall for gardiner?? Wtf .... Edmonton gets raped big time if they do that deal ..... And seguin is awesome but so is hall so i think it's way too soon to say who they should of taken, hall can be a 40+ guy one day Problem with Edmonton is they got no A+ defensive prospect beside nurse and they been drafting same type of guys and they need a goalie and some better veterans than smyth and hemsky ....
