helm is fast as hell , hits, great 2 way , kills penalties ... prior to last year he had 11-12 and 9 goal seasons id say hes capable of getting 15-20 depending on his linemates , in my personal opinion i think hes one of the best 3rd line centers

right now i just see him on a 4th line and andersson nyquist just got a shot last year due to all the injuries wouldnt of surprise me if they'd be dealt now if they never played with the team last season

andersson is no where near a 2nd center ... helm 3rd center and andersson 4th is perfect

we need helm back bigtime he's so important to our team if were gonna win it all

hes not gonna end up with as much money as he thought he would , my prediction is he will go on a crappier team where he will play on the top 6 guaranteed and miss the playoffs every year ... waste

clarkson is gritty hits fights and has a good shot and hes not 40 and at the end of his career , yes he would of helped this team by a mile ... that being said no way i would of given him the contract he got

tatar isnt gonna cause much damage if hes here at this point due to these signings in fact i can see him being pissed off and asking for another trade again (if he even starts the season here, still think holland will trade him) zetterberg datsyuk abdelkader franzen weiss alfredsson nyquist helm bertuzzi(cant imagine bert on a 4th line) miller andersson tatar and hearing detroit is in on cleary with pitts and ducks ( and my gut feeling says hes coming back) samuelsson, tootoo, emmerton eaves on the outs (dont know how theyll get rid of sammy) cant see how tatar gets a fair shot , only reason andersson and nyquist did last year was due to injuries we love playing the veterans way too much here

just making a point that you cant give up on someone just because they didnt put up crazy numbers in one post season

corey perry was virtually invisible with 0 goals so you wouldnt take him right, cant give up on someone for one bad playoffs

why would andersson have potential to be lost??? he wont cost much money and hes valuable to us , i hope we resign them all to at least 3 yrs at reasonable prices

im sure he will get pts playing with our stars but i dont think it would be as easy as you might think to trade weiss with the long term and cap hit of almost 5

oh i noticed , you still gotta show up in the regular season so you can make the playoffs and weiss only had 4 pts in 17 games before the injury (funny how you left that out ) and hes still unproven in the playoffs . And as for bobby ryan i think its fair to say the trade talk rumors hes dealt with affected him, he just said today how it was a big relief to finally be traded, prior to that he had 4 consecutive 30+ goal seasons We wouldnt of given up a 1st and 2 prospects for weiss or alfredsson through a trade and theres a reason for that alfredsson at 40 yrs old and 5.5 cap hit is way too high (i dont even think selanne made nearly as much money when he was 40) would of rather had him years ago but the fact that hes only one year is more digestable than weiss

sammy said he was injured so we couldnt buy him out , we got a ton of bottom 6 forwards that gotta be gone 2-4 guys for sure
