ozzie probably never saw mrazek's stellar performances in the junior championships and hes stepping it up again this year in the ahl ... yes it is too soon but i do think we got a future superstar goalie in our hands and i do hope patterson turns out good ... he'll be nice trade bait as will howard in 2-4 yrs from redwings central Howard has a firm hold on the Red Wings’ top job, but his contract includes trade options starting in 2015-16 if Mrazek is ready. And all signs point to Mrazek being ready sooner than later. even howard seems to know his job is in jeopardy in a few years

has anyone been watching him play???? gotta say his stats is dissapointing 2011-2012 Grand Rapids Griffins AHL 62 5 11 16 2012-2013 Grand Rapids Griffins AHL 64 4 8 12 he has one assist this playoffs in 14 games ... really dissapointing and hes 6'4 205, could of really been big for us, that being said hes still only 21 but hes stats arent anything to get excited about i dont know if we find someone we like in the 4th or 5th round we should just ask the habs if they want a quebec player in aubry for a pick , with pulkininen next year and frk , tverdon etcc i cant see aubry having a career in detroit even if hes just 21 yrs of age if anyone seen him play this year id appreciate if you can share your thoughts on him

i didnt add jarnkrok because i think he will just stay in sweden if he doesnt make the nhl who do you guys think will be on the outs eventually? at one point i gotta think if everything goes to plans we will have to many kids pushing for jobs and not even roster spots gotta say with all the forwards the ones im least excited about are ferraro and aubry and on defense nicastro if we can trade any of those guys for a pick this yr and draft someone we like we should just do it and keep stacking more prospects, i know ferraro has speed but i dont know if he will ever be a scorer like his dad so im just thinking if we can get a team with multiple 2nd round picks and ship him for one and get a power forward it might be worth considering since we got alot of forwards coming up next few yrs -
man gotta say this is easily the best grand rapids team we've had so many prospects with bigtime potential and next years roster will be even more stacked, gotta say the future is bright ! kevin weekes praised petr mrazek on cbc earlier .... future wings dominator ! also on a sidenote jan mursak is 2nd goal scorer in the playoffs and leading with +9 i really wish he had a chance with us but unfortunetly he was always hurt , gotta think he will get an invite somewhere after his playoffs

zetterberg was 150 pounds when we drafted him i believe .. cant stop us from picking someone we believe in

this is from the hockey news draft preview some are excited about his potential while others arent as enamored of his game. One scout said if he was 6 foot instead of 6'5 he would be an afterthought in this years draft Most of the knocks against mccarron have to do with consistency of effort and results , hes a guy who leaves you wanting more Theres no reason why mccarron wont be able to eventually develop into a solid nhl player of the next couple years , you wonder if hes going to be the next big power forward or the next brad winchester Thats the unknown. And as much as you want to see him available you might be scared to death if its your pick I'll pass ..... theres quite a few other players im more excited about than mccarron

just thinking about some players who might be available around the league Philadelphia - Briere , bryzgalov Tampa Bay - Malone Montreal - Kaberle ... maybe moen? (alot of ppl are unhappy with him) Nyr - Richards Pens - Fleury?? ...Martin Buff - Leino ?? Leafs - Komisarek Vanc - Booth , Ballard if anyone can think of anybody feel free to add them ... im thinking maybe on a one year deal ryan malone might be worth the risk if hes available

i read columbus might be willing to trade one of there 1st round picks ( they got 3) for defensive help ... they got picks 14,19 and the kings pick ( would be nice to get 18 and 19 overall) anyone got any ideas what we could offer up for 19th pick or the kings pick? ... lashoff, coliacovo and ferraro? also i was checking up past drafts and noticed some pretty bad players getting there rights traded for picks ( benoit pouliot for a 5th , our backup gus got traded for a 7th ,wideman a player and a 5th ,ehroff twice for a 4th etc ) anyways point of that is i hope if were not gonna resign filppula we can at least get a 4th or 5th for him before july 5 ... same as our other ufa's

got the hockey news draft preview mag theres quite a few guys that interest me in the 30+(although what they have listed and the top prospects rankings are off) justin bailey 6'3 193 pds projected to be a power forward ranked 39 iss artturi lehkonen 5'11 159 pds projected to be an offensive forward ranked 36 iss zach sanford 6'3 190pds projected as an offensive forward not ranked hudson fasching 6'3 214pds projected as a power forward ranked 44 iss i dont think a team would trade there 1st round pick for our 2nd and 3rd it would have to take our 1st round pick to be involved in a deal to move down
-
david clarkson is from toronto .... since detroit is near toronto "maybe" we'd have a shot
-
im hoping for valentin zykov ... heard montreal is gonna try moving up the draft to maybe get a quebec player cause they got 3 2nd round picks and 2 3rd rounders i wouldnt be opposed to maybe trading our 18th for picks 25 and 34
-
i think andersson will center the 4th line if helm returns and helm 3rd line something like tatar helm brunner cleary andersson eaves dont know about miller returning if he does wed have to get rid of tootoo?? emmerton??? that being said if he did return i wouldnt mind he'd be a good cheap 12-13th depth forward

hypothetically what would we have to trade to get the 2nd and 3rd over
nyqvististhefuture posted a topic in General
before anyone starts telling me off i know theres a 0% chance of this happening i was checking out martin frk and was thinking damn how it be nice if we had the big mooseheads line of frk drouin mckinnon in detroit so just for the FUN of it what do you think wed have to give up to make it happen ?? prob not enough but here it goes ... 2nd overall pick to get mckinnon from florida 1st round pick , jarnkrok, tatar, lashoff 3rd overall pick to get droin from tampa bay smith, sproul, patterson, ferraro let the bashing begin lol -
why dont you email capgeek then and tell them there wrong and your correct

23rd???? i thought since we didnt make the conference finals we retained the 17th overall pick -
DUDE check yourself the penalty if he retires on his last year is 8+ million ... jesus ... no idea where you get this 2.95 from pronger is injured different story everyone knows hes basically done ... as for mule theres a good chance he wont play on one of those years if not both for 1 million a season ... zetterberg is in the same boat but i can see him playing like alfredsson did for 1 mill
-
if franzen retires on his 2nd last season we gotta pay 4.1 mill on the cap for 2 seasons if he retires on his last year its 8.318 http://www.capgeek.com/recapture-calculator/?contract_id=291&player_id=292&recapture_submit=set&retirement_year=2018™=0&acquiring_team=6&in_season_trade=-1&in_season_traded_year=2012&season_percentage=1&off_season_traded_year=2013
