just heard dreger say on tsn that wings want bouwmeester and now flames will want more for bouwmeester because they got robbed by the iginla deal and theyll want a young goalie to start either mrazek of patterson if we trade away mrazek im gonna flip man! hes future star , i always joke with my friends that we got the future hasek (they always saying how wings are done and were rebuilding soon ... little do they know )

great i feel a 1st round pick leaving as well as nyquist + and a 1st/2nd round if were lucky exit ... i cant see us winning the cup at all this year so we shouldnt be throwing away assets for a rental

sportsnet just said buffalo would love to get rid of ryan miller who has a 1 year deal left , yes i know hes been horrible this year but i think its an overall buffalo thing and not just miller himself Hes been one of the best goalies for years now ...the reason i mention him is because of some reports that it might cost us 5 million to keep howard , why not take a chance at ryan miller at that point for an extra million and maybe extend him for an extra 2 years until mrazek will be ready for full time duties Plus i think hes from detroit if im not mistaken , his brother is here .... again this is just a thought if were not willing to give howard 5 million a year why not trade howard and then trade for miller? (depending on the asking price of course)

and for the record i would like to keep filppula but if hes asking for 5+ a year and he will likely ask for 5-8 yrs then hes gotta go , he got one season of 60+ pts hes been too inconsistent to give 5 million a year and we got guys coming up next year and next few years who should be able to contend for a top 6 spot as for the person above who mentioned cleary and white would fetch us 1st rounders thats just nonsense i think filppula is the only one who might be able to fetch us a 1st pick from a contender especially to the team that loses out on iginla , we'd be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for white and REALLY lucky for a 2nd round pick for cleary but that might be pushing it

its highly unlikely the wings wont make the bottom 10 unless we dont get in the playoffs and win the lottery but theres still a chance were not guaranteed a playoff spot and im sure no one thought the 2003 draft would be as deep as it turned out to be , no one ever knows whos gonna be good till years from now to say the wings wouldnt get someone really good 15 - 30 cant be known till years from now and if we say did trade filppula for a 1st theres a chance he could always pull a keith tkachuk and come back

mid to late first round pick??? if we dont make the playoffs theres a good chance we can be in the top 10 and every team that doesnt get in technically has a shot at winning the first overall pick If bettman fixed it for us like he did for pittsburgh when he got them crosby and we by the fluke of god somehow got seth jones wed be right back on top and gold on defense for next 10-20 years and even outside jones theres drouin,mackinnon,nichushkin and barkov that are considered a cant miss im sure outside of the top 5 im sure there are other good players but i wont pretend to know who they are

no ones saying for the wings to rebuild we still got datsyuk zetterberg kronwall ericsson franzen helm howard tootoo etc... a rebuild would mean trading those players mentioned above and having like 5 first round picks at this draft when you still have those players you dont need to rebuild , just need to mix in some youth now so they can learn from those players above like they learned from yzerman,larionov,lidstrom etc... cant wait too long to bring up these players , brendan smith should of been here a year earlier fulltime so he could of learned from lidstrom now its too late , cant let that mistake happen again

missing the playoffs and ending the steak would really suck but my thought is if its gonna end eventually it be a good time now since its a shortened season so wouldnt be as bad , i dont know about others here but it doesnt feel the same this year with it being so short im not as into it as i would if it were a full season ... look at philadelphia, rangers ,capitals all in danger of not making the playoffs just seems like a crapshoot season And the + side is the draft is so deep ... teams are looking to pick up ufa's at the deadline, they dont want longterm commitment to players and white and miller wont be coming back so we might as well get something back while we can and i cant see emmerton lasting long with andersson and tatar coming back next year and guys like sheahan soon , we got a ton of guys that can play in the bottom 6

im expecting nyquist to be traded at some point , the way hes been treated they clearly dont want him here and dont invision him as a future wing , i just hope its in the off season because i dont want to get rid of our first round pick this year in a package deal

Yeah Stafford's two consecutive 50 pt. seasons were flukes. Also, if I'm following you right now you're suggesting that the only reason that guys get shopped is because they aren't good. Which means that Filppula, Yandle, Iginla, Perry, Clowe, Stastny, Luongo, etc. are all not good.
