im pretty certain wed be able to get a 1st round pick for him ....boston and pittsburgh will be fighting eachother for iginla the team that loses out we can ship filppula to them who will be deemed valuable since hes a cup winner and is from detroit (especially if the ducks keep perry) i think i might consider trading him to maybe canucks in a few weeks if his game doesnt come around , canucks are lacking a 2nd line center for the longest time and kesler is gone maybe theyd take a chance? ... on the upside there 1st round pick wouldnt be 28-30th id keep him down he's in his 1st season in the ahl i wouldnt wanna rush him too much maybe call him up at some point next year ... i still think we should develop the kids just not over exagerate and keep a kid with promise like tatar down for 4 years

maybe if the wings wouldnt be so loyal to veteran players (signing samuelsson when there was no need for it is a perfect example)we'd be in better position while i think its smart to let our players develop i think the wings have to change there ways of thinking now that theres a cap having brendan smith here while lidstrom was still here so he could learn from him would of been perfect ... too late now , if nyquist and/or tatar were here last year theyd be alot better players this season and so would the wings and maybe datsyuk wouldnt of played with bottom 6 players all season its unfortunate it takes a ton of injuries to get the kids ice time when some were good enough to be here to learn from the veteran players while they are still here

maybe because he knows he will get 5+ years in the market so we have no choice?? and theres always gonna be a team looking for a goalie the thing is what theyd be willing to give up to get one so if we just wanna get rid of his salary and take a 2nd round pick back lets say ... im sure it could be done look around the league ... toronto needs a goalie , flyers always need a goalie(im sure brygs will be bought out by then) , islanders , devils have no future goalie , same as calgary im sure in 3 years wed be able to find a taker

you do if your goalie of the future isnt ready for fulltime for another 2-3 years and theres no other options for a goalie in free agency in 2-3 years howard can be used as trade bait ....its a win win

i wouldnt trade our 1st draft pick for anybody .. bouwmeester, yandle .. no one at this point who knows we can get a top 10 pick the standings are so tight and i hope we make the playoffs but if there was one year not to make it , it be this year since the draft is so strong if we would get bettman to fix the draft for us like he did for pittsburgh and we can land seth jones wed get our #1 d man for the next 20 years + it doesnt feel like a real season since its so short so wouldnt be as bad either way i wouldnt trade our 1st round pick id try getting another by trading filppula and hopefully a 2nd or 3rd pick while were at it through ian white

i hope its 6 years and not 7 and when mrazek is ready it will force us to trade howard and at least we can get a good return back instead of always losing our players to free agency for nothing

i been saying this since last year they should of brought in nyquist and/tatar last year along with smith to learn from lidstrom and bring in a few rookies every year so they gradually mix into the lineup and learn from the vets but of course we love our veterans so much and we got guys like sheahan,jarnkrok,ferraro who are 2 years away thats why i got a feeling nyquist will be dealt soon for a defensemen he just turned 26 im not wiling to give up on him just yet ... he belongs in the bottom 2 lines though i dont know why babcock keeps putting him up in the top 2 its really annoying i remember abdelkader having good chemistry together so maybe when helm returns theyll be reunited

every player you mentioned are hall of famers ... mentioning samuelsson with iginla,alfredsson,jagr is ignorant and since you mentioned it yes his shots arent accurate ,cant skate ... he just sucks as since hes 36 hes on the decline and injury prone as is bertuzzi ... who also isnt a hall of famer

well feels like he hasnt even been here , he never stays here long enough to get it going ... wouldnt be surprised if hes back down in under a week

he's 36 years old , he doesnt belong in the top 6 and neither does abdelkader or cleary but thats babcocks fault for putting them up there instead of giving the kids a fair shot for more than just 1 game surely a line of andersson datsyuk tatar for 5-6 games would of made more sense then abdelkader/cleary or samuelsson

if we can get the last pick of the draft for miller id do it any 4-7th round pick id do it and give andersson a few shots and hope for the best as for trading abdelkader yes hes having a rough season but he just turned 26 and plays a gritty game its far too early to give up on him just yet

samuelsson is old and has been getting groin injuries for years now his signing was a monumental mistake .... and im seriously fed up of seeing mike babcock putting him on the point on the powerplay ALL the time seriously enough is enough im fed up of seeing his shots from the point missing the net all the time i thought we were finally rid of him and now he returns id rather have lashoff and kindl on the 2nd ppl unit than samuelsson

unfortunetly i have a feeling nyquist is gonna get traded and this is just an audition who knows with detroit they might even throw in tatar at this point because unless your a bonafied star you got no place here we rather have older injury prone guys like bertuzzi samuelsson cleary playing than young kids with great potential ... wed rather put two 3rd-4th liners not producing with datsyuk instead of putting tatar and andersson with datsyuk i wouldnt be surprised anymore if we traded nyquist tatar and 1st for iginla at this point

dont complain then next year when were playing the bruins and we keep getting knocked around because we dont have young power forwards with grit instead of an old injury prone bertuzzi its one bad year ... hes 30 years old i wouldnt say hes done
