id love to see a filppula for ryan clowe deal we need power forwards and from what ive read filppula wants 4.5 million a season??? way too much , thought he finally broke out after last season but after seeing him with 10 pts in 19 games he seems to be back to his 40-45 pt pace as always might be time to let him go

if they do ill gladly say i was an idiot and i was wrong but i think if most of us are realistic you'd realize we dont have great chances with lidstrom gone and stuart as well as losing rafalski 2 yrs ago and never getting a top d man back to win t all this season the whole point to this is to calm down about trade deadline and not expect the wings to sell out the future for someone like bouwmeester, iginla or whomever. In fact id like to see us getting rid of guys like ian white and if possible samuelsson and coliacovo(although both been hurt all year so i doubt it could happen)If it was possible to do like a ian white for ryan whitney type deal id be down for something like that we still got a good enough team to make the playoffs and if we can get rid of white and a few others and get extra draft picks instead of losing them for nothing then we should, but we shouldnt throw in someone like tatar,nyquist or our 1st rd pick in any deal this year I hope to god we make the playoffs cause it wouldnt be the same but on the flip side i can see no better year not to get in if we had to choose the year since this is a shortened season and wouldnt hurt as much AND the draft is deep as hell and if we could get in the top 5 some how it could be worth it (landing seth jones would give us a #1 d for 10-20 yrs)

its unfortunate it had to be forced on holland and the wings to finally let the youngsters play on the team but it was for the best having all these injuries .... particularly samuelsson im really happy to have barely seen him this year and seeing his stupid ass on the point on the powerplay always missing his shots yes i know the wings like to let players develop but sometimes its ridiculous how long they let them down for , tatar finally got his shot and is producing as well as andersson if the wings dont make room for them when the veterans come back then im gonna really be dissapointed Also brian lashoff wow cant believe the wings were gonna lose him i cant see him having a future with the wings if he didnt have his chance this year , seems they the kids always played 1 game or 2 and then back down this year they got enough games to get some confidence going and the kids are playing great(dont forget before tatar and andersson came down the 3rd and 4th liners got 0 pts) all these injuries have been a blessing in disguise

yes the wings have been playing real good as of late and maybe they can win a 1st round depending the match up but in my personal opinion i just dont think after losing lidstrom and stuart and not adding a top defensemen they can win a cup i never liked white and coliacovo, dont think there any good tbh ... kindl lashoff and smith would be in the playoffs fulltime for the fist time all at once(As well as tatar.andersson,nyquist if they play) thats one reason i dont see the wings going all the way and i also think were not as physical or as big as other teams i cant see us going through teams like l.a,chicago,vancouver,saint louis bertuzzi and samuelsson are aging and injury prone ... the only player coming back making a big difference on this team is darren helm (yes filppula is out but he was with the team most of the year) thats why i think we wont win , yes anybody can win but like someone above said l.a was a smoke and mirrors team they never should of been an 8th team to begin with there full of young stars who are fast big and can hit

well karlsson is out now , shea weber hasnt been the same without suter , suter hasnt been the same i never thought of it but kronwall is a good pick , he had to replace lidstrom the best defensemen in the last 20 years and i think is leading the nhl in defensemen points right??? plays alot of minutes and redwings had to deal with injuries all year long id have to say hes been the most valuable player for us if he was hurt instead of coliacovo our defense would of just been destroyed and wed have lost more games for sure

just curious who some of you think could/should be targets for the wings ??? im not in favour of giving up the future but i was reading up on trade center on tsn and the name ryan clowe was being mentioned and i gotta say i LOVE the idea of ryan clowe being a wing ... 6'2 225 30 yrs old ufa , the thing about him is hes got 0 goals this year which could help a team out in getting him for not too big a price thinking maybe of a dan cleary for ryan clowe type trade?? both are ufa's and both teams would have a bit of time and hopefully playoffs to see if theyd wanna extend the player

it will take more than 3 million to keep howard theres no good ufa goalies out there for us to replace him with and mrazek needs more time to develop as long as its not a long term deal id be happy with someone like 4-4.5 per year x3 yrs

hahaha i think he should be on the team since the start of the season and signing samuelsson was a big mistake since the day it happened but no we still need help specfically a big defender or 2 not saying we gotta rebuild i just dont think this season is a cup winning season .... just keeping tatar and andersson here rest of the year will benefit us next year , itll give them more experience and who knows what will happen in the off season with trades and players being bought out maybe then we can get some good defensemen im not willing to give up our 1st round pick in a really deep year and good prospects to get someone like bouwmeester when i think the odds of winning it all this year arent clearly as good as years pasts
