id love this it be about time the redwings come back to the east . we'd have to get a bit tougher though with the bruins being in our division we'd have get rid of some scraps like samuelsson and add gritty guys also another thing i HATE about these conferenoces is bettman wants to make the best 4 teams per division make the playoffs and 1st round matchups will be division series i want the best 8 to get in regardless and same seeding now 1 vs 8 2 vs 7 etc ...

anze kopitar is his best friend im sure if kenny called him and said im getting rid of him and i called you first cause i know he and anze are close would you be interested ? im sure the gm would then ask anze about mursak and he'd be all up for it and suggest the deal and we'd be able to get a 7th round pick

filppula isnt going anywhere guys hes a ufa no one will trade us back a player thats under contract for a ufa and the wings love filppula best thing to do would be resign him with a no trade clause and in a year or 2 if we wanna get rid of him we get something back

i totally saw this coming theres just not space for guys like him with tatar,andersson and nyquist coming up ... i expect guys like miller and samuelsson not to be back next season ( well maybe not samuelsson cuz holland loves him ) what bugs me though is the dump the player on waivers for nothing again routine, anze kopitar is his best friend you telling me we couldnt of gotten a 7th round pick and let our scout andersson try his magic again with an extra pick and hope for the best ??? no doubt he will get picked up and i think with the speed he has he can be an nhl player for years and if not now i see him with the kings when hes a ufa

biggest mistake the wings have done in my opinion is being way too loyal to the veterans and past players instead of letting the kids play , it really bugs the hell out of me that we signed samuelsson in the summer and now hes only played 2 games and is out yet again with a damn groin injury(pretty sure he always had that when he was here ) tatar is in his 4th season in grand rapids , nyquist should of started the season in the top 6 .... guys like mursak,samuelsson,miller,bertuzzi they should all be gone we cant expect to add in a bunch of rookies all in the same year , we have to gradually insert them into our lineup so they can learn from the veterans I know tatar and andersson and probably lashoff will eventually all be back in the ahl but both tatar and lashoff as well as nyquist should be up its time to get rid of the junk this team has and let the future get some games in

absolutely loving tonights game ! the kids are everywhere tonight! its unfortunate that it took all these injuries for them to get a chance but im hoping its opening up holland and babcock's eyes

well you could leave one of tatar or andersson down for the rest of this year incase and we also have sheahan ....we also have alot of bottom forwards i doubt we would be able to get rid of them all anyways ..... franzen zetterberg brunner filppula datsyuk nyquist tatar helm(when he returns) cleary thats what the top 3 lines i personally wish looked like and for the 4th line it would be abdelkader and tootoo and then id keep half of ... bertuzzi samuelsson miller emmerton mursak eaves a great gm is also someone who recognizes he made a mistake ... no one will ever convince me bringing samuelsson back was a good move .... never liked carlo coliacovo either (seen him in toronto) i realizes hes been hurt but i think we'll regret that one

bertuzzi isnt nearly as tough as his size would indicate , ever since the moore incident hes never been the same player and he like samuelsson are injury prone and getting close to 40 ... as for miller i like him but he will never be more than a 4th liner ... we got andersson whos 24 yrs old 6'2 200+ pds who i think will be better and has been showing some offense in grand rapids but we'll never know because he never gets a fair shot ... although he is up now but it wont be for long

the fact is hes still been there for 4 years now and hes ready to play in the nhl so we can see what kind of future he can have .... i dont think he will crack the lineup but what if jarnkrok makes the team next season ?? nyquist tatar and andersson are all out of waiver options next year are we suppose to add in jarnkrok nyquist tatar and andersson all next year??? Unfortunetly i think tatar and/or nyquist will be traded by the deadline so we wont ever have to deal with that problem i do hope holland comes to his senses in this case and buys out samuelsson next year and lets guys like bertuzzi miller walk ... the kids need to play

we cant just have aging vets on the team the younger kids have to come up and get experience from zetterberg ,datsyuk etc ... while there still here so they can then pass on the knowledge to the future kids we cant wait till those guys are gone or a year or 2 away from leaving if we wait for that then we'll just have a bunch of rookies on the team and thats when the redwings will be a basement team for 5-10 years

im not talking about the past redwings teams im talking about the present , theres some guys here that shouldnt be here and are just here because of our loyal habits teams need there draft picks to turn out to be nhl players now since the cap came into place and we seem to never give our kids a break and always keep filling up roster spots year after year with aging guys did we really have to resign samuelsson??? didnt nyquist finally deserve a real shot?? tatar is in his 4th full season in the ahl for gods sake i just think these guys should be inserted into the lineup here and there to blend in with the veterans like datsyuk,zetterberg,kronwall etc.. I dont think its gonna happen but what if jarnkrok makes the team next year?? thats gonna be what tatar nyquist andersson and jarnkrok all in the same year?? Knowing this team of late we'll probably end up trading nyquist and tatar at the deadline for a mid 30's player instead of giving the kids with some good potential a fair crack

read somewhere he got an offer of a year 2 million dollar deal from pittsburgh and got me thinking maybe for a one year deal worth 2-3 million it might be worth the risk i know we got alot of forwards already but im thinking if he plays with pavel he can pop 25 at least and from what i saw of him he does have good shot and is hard to knock off the puck He's had a bad reputation but im thinking maybe playing with datsyuk and with the leaders on this team he might be able to turn it around and at a one year deal it might be worth it and it also gives us additional player to use in a trade for a defensemen thoughts?

the kostitsyn brothers were a part of the darkest day in habs history? lol thats far fetched , there was alot of crap going on in montreal awful trades,signings by gainer and gauthier , letting a ton of ufa's walk and getting nothign in return ... the whole theodore gang vs saku koivu gang debacle , kovalev's lazy play and inconsistencies etc... i wouldnt say kostitsyn brothers were part of the darkest days in habs history by a long shot lol

ya doesnt make sense at all id much rather go see what happens this year with the lineup we have than go crazy on a trade and give away top players and prospects (dependind on the return of course) only one team wins the cup at the end of the day

true , thing with semin though was he was looking for a long term deal apparently but settled for one year at 7 million , andrei could be had for a 2-3 million cap hit though alot less $ it was both in montreal but sergei has turned it around since he went to nashville , andrei went out late one night during the playoffs last season with radulov and the team took them both out for a game in the playoffs Then again hanging out with radulov was a mistake alone on the part of andrei ... i cant see any bad influences he would have in detroit

just read on the bleacherreport the wings offered filppula ericsson and a prospect for bouwmeester??? WTFFF i doubt this is true but if it is holland has lost his mind rather just go through the season and whatever happens happens

your wrong on that one and andersson is swedish he wont stick around his whole career in the ahl hes here not because hes commited to being an nhl player and still 23 i highly doubt he will stick around at the ahl level instead of going back to sweden that being said he will be an nhl player , he's got the size and frame to play and is a good 2 way player and back checks ... he will be a redwing in 2 yrs

why is there talk of rebuilding????? we still got zetterberg,datsyuk,franzen,kronwall and filppula for what 5-8 yrs of good hockey at least and i know datsyuk is 34 and time will tell but i see him like a selanne type and still being a good player at 40-42 yrs of age what the wings problem is they keep adding old veterans all the time !, they cant get rid of everybody and then put in 5-10 new bodies in a season they need to mix those guys in with the above mentioned players now! thats why i dont understand the bertuzzi resigning and samuelsson, were stacked now up front and theres talk of adding doan and semin that means nyquist and brunner get sent down ,mursak and emmerton etc get dealt samuelsson and bertuzzi shouldnt of been brought back and nyquist,brunner,tatar be given a chance , and even andersson whos 6'2 200+ pds could of been a good addition on the 4th line at this point i wouldnt even be shocked if we resign holmstrom
