i just heard right now pierre mcguire on the radio and he said the redwings are still looking to add another defensemen even after getting quincey and theyd also like to add a scoring forward

i just checked Cleary's contract includes a no-trade clause for the first 3 1/2 years, a concession the Red Wings were willing to make in a cap-friendly deal before he became a free agent this summer. his deal is up as we speak , if we could sign parise and suter in the off season kennys gotta seriously consider letting hudler go and trading cleary , he's the only forward with pretty decent high salary that i can see us letting go

i actually heard parise and suter wanna do like lebron and chris bosh did and package themselves to a team , man if we could pull that off we'd have also a great chance of getting weber in 2 years but we'd have to depart some salary like letting hudler go and maybe trade cleary unless he has a full no trade? that would be like 6 million right there

i was thinking the same thing before the roster for the shootouts were named , i wanted to see filppula in it , hudler just basically trys to copycat datsyuk's move most of the time , and yesterdays shootout was pathetic all 3 guys just came in and shot , i was expecting bertuzzi to try some crazy move or a spin o rama not a shot that failed the previous 2 times anyways i think hudler shouldnt be in the top 3 shooters next time definetly need to change it up

does anyone know if nyquist can play another year in the ahl without being claimed on waivers ?? With this move i cant see the redwings bringing up nyquist as well as tatar( whos out of waivers options as of next year) unless hudler is not coming back or if nquist is starts in the 4th line which i think would be pointless , he needs top 6 opportunities or its just a waste of time

jesus ... loved everything bertuzzi has done this year .... EVERYTHING , but did we really need to do this ??? he's 37 , did we need to lock him up till 39? we got nyquist ,tatar coming up We also have mursak and emmerton fighting for ice time , possible ( well im hoping anyways) acquisition of someone like parise in the off season ... maybe with a 1 year extention id be ok but not 2 years ... again nothing against bertuzzi's play

honestly i dont care about the whole waived quincey over meech debate , yes was a mistake but whatever we did worse ... we lost adam oates for example and lived ... im just saying in no way do i think kyle quincey is worth a 1st round pick and i wouldnt of done it ... that's it At this point the redwings might as well trade the 2nd round pick and go for it all this year with lidstrom aging and brad stuart's likely last year as a wing

problem is we have no 1st round pick to deal now and i dont know about anyone here but i really dont wanna give up anyone in our top 10 prospects list , maybe say tatar in a package deal but it have to be a hell of a return coming back

yes i watched hockey if you notice quincey is 6'2 200 +pounds , we didnt have alot of big guys in the back end back then , meech was 5'10 thats why i was so against getting rid of quincey for meech back then ... meech was -12 both seasons in detroit wouldnt say he was so good anyways let's just agree to disagree

pierre mcguire just said detroit has alot of travis moens and cant see them going for him but rather a skilled forward .... ya well thats where the 1st rounder would of come in handy , dont see it happening now and he also said detroit was in for rick nash bigtime and really liked him but dropped out when the demands got ridiculously high .... thank god
