Ducks already said there keeping backes ,i get your point but theres no way hes gonna let timashov,erne etc.... all walk for nothing , if he wants to take on bad contracts/ufa hes gonna have to part with two of helm/nielsen/glendening/filppula right off the bat to make room ....id rather have kept most to keep for trade bait but realistically helm will fetch us a 4/5 so if we can get that now and hopefully get a galchenyuk and hope he produces and can get us a 2/3 back id do it we have too many similiar bottom 6 guys who cant produce offensively, some gtg I dont think you can do that , i could be wrong ... id say we’d need to tag on a jay beagle but we got so much trash as it is ... at this point id take eriksson for a 2021 2nd and 2022 1st unprotected although i suspect it wont matter . Maybe add a dipietro or some mid prospect? Im not really excited over any prospects they have outside podkolzin

Even with those guys not signed we have more than enough bottom line talent as it is without any ufa or adding a bad contract or two zadina should and will be on the team likely in a top 6 role .... we dont have any spots unless we can get rid of some of the likes of helm/glendening/nielsen/filppula prior to the start of the season we have spots in free agency atm at defense and a goaltender

We’re not buying out abdelkader , send him to the minors and be done with it or eat 50% and pray someone else takes him and sends another 2 mill problem our way filppula or helm wont be bought out with one year deals , theyll be part of our lacklustre trade deadline bait to go along with gagner and nemeth . Think we hang on to nielsen one more year and eat half his salary next season which will be 1.5 actual dollars and send his 5 mill cap hit to a team who doesnt want to spend money I like the 18 pts part

Ya adding markstrom is useless, itll just make us get a 8-12 pick instead of bottom 4 ... unless we go add a hall/pietrangelo + im not even sold on markstrom as a true #1 goalie . Can totally see him coming here with the team we have and s***ting the bed and then having people complain we’re stuck with him for another 5 yrs

Problem with tampa is they have a ton of guys wit ntc clauses ...if i play there i dont waive s*** personally ... + cirelli to be resigned .... now i dont know off the top of my head but i do think mcdonaugh doesnt have a ntc and if push comes to shove i trade him and keep sergachev

No clue but they were talking about it on mtl radio and how they think tampa will try and get him on a bridge deal 4-5 per .... i believe the 1st would be 2021? Sadly we’d have to be stuck with him one more year most likely as his actual salary is 5 mill now and drops to 3 next , hopefully wouldnt cost too much to part with him if someone just wants to hit the floor and save money Im down for greiss , the thing is he’d be sharing goalie duties with bernier ... nobody should be fooled by last season into thinking bernier is a starting goalie . Hes a backup , but if we got a greiss type they can easily both share the duties id be fine with that shorterm , i dont trust markstrom at all ... if the price isnt crazy id rather take a chance on a georgiev but atm with how our d and team is no goalie will come here and exceed expectations

Ya wishful thinking man , im hoping after this season if his cap hit is 5 and his actual money being paid 1.5 then a cheapskate owner like melnyk might want that contract to waste less money Jean francois berube would be a better option than howard at this point

Is it possible to actually deal nielsen? I was checking actual salaries 5.250 cap hit x 2 actual salary is 5 mill and 2nd year is 3 ... realistically we have one more year stuck with him but if we eat half the salary then Theyll have to pay 2.5 and especially 1.5 in the second year . Am i crazy to think that might actually interest a few teams like arizona,ottawa and whomever is now trying to cut money? i know hes not what he is to be but if teams are trying to pay less actual dollars you never know? gotta get some spots open for some kids

I want one of those forwards and think we should get one of them if not the goalie is the best route considering how elite hes suppose to be and how much great goaltending we’ll need to compete in the east.... i really wish we were in ottawa’s shoes f*** that being said i can totally see yzerman not giving two s***s and picking askarov ,if that happens it wouldnt shock me in the slightest If were picking 4th overall we shouldnt be content picking a guy we think will be a 2nd liner if your in the top 10 you should always go for a homerun pick .... if your not sure your guy can be a top line player get the #1 goalie , or get that 1st pairing dman that can play 25 mins a night ... dont get a nice 2nd liner who can get 50-60 pts , not with a 4th overall selection thats just my opinion

Its very good gm’ing to improve your club ... i dont see it happening cause i think canucks will fight hard to not move podkolzin which is why id try and include some pieces and maybe take more trash off their hands . They would never do podkolzin eriksson for cholowski, think more pieces would have to be involved and if we have a chance to land a podkolzin ciao fabbri We would never trade any of our top line guys in this scenario unless more was coming back or eriksson wasnt involved arizona have no draft picks to play with , their looking to trade players to get picks not trade prospects and future picks

If i had to guess id assume yzermans a big fan of podkolzin, he likes guys who competes hard and im sure he was in the mix with seider .... i know its a pipe dream but id pushing hardcore for him , i aint doing any favors for vancouver and as they’re trying to compete now and we’re rebuilding id even try and throw in some assets to make it a huge hockey trade to make them better now and next few years and help us longterm wont happen but if were taking eriksson id try to see if they give us jay beagle as well, thats 10 mill of garbage off their hands (we can prob flip beagle if we eat half the salary) add in 2022 first if not doable 2021(but in doing so podkolzin is a must) id trade b.c boy cholowski , havent given up on him at all but i have a feeling yzerman isnt a big fan + we got a ton of kids coming at d so we can afford it and im sure some fans will love this one, id throw in fabbri (no way id throw in mantha/bert/larkin) Again no chance itll ever happen ... eriksson+beagle+podkolzin+1st pick for cholowski+fabbri
