Outside of maybe a dman on a short deal the only ufa id be interested in is alex galchenyuk on a one year deal with the sole purpose of hoping he can get back to being a 20-25 goal guy and flipping him for picks for next draft Yzerman needs to get aggressive now in getting rid of some dead weight on the team(we have lots of those) and making room for svechnikov who deserves a good look(and not a bottom line role) before completely being written off and maybe brome and a few other kids who might be able to push for spots . abdelkader to grand rapids to mentor the future kids should be in the cards

See him as a top 6 for sure , playmaker and ppl guy ... his size scares me for the playoffs outside of patrick kane i cant think of any recent small guys performing , if we take him ill be glad to be wrong . Np with that list just not a fan of lundell or perfetti’s long term projections from what ive seen/read and drysdale sanderson , again just my opinion but im really liking how our d is shaping up and we can also grab another solid one with our 5 next picks If its a forward for me its raymond and then its goal scoring in either holtz or quinn(wouldnt take quinn 4th though) ... if we can have a holtz/quinn to add to mantha and zadina in the top 6 on the wing we’d look good , although raymond at this point is my #1 Who knows maybe if we’re lucky l.a had drysdale in their sights prior to the draft and might make a trade with detroit to add something, i would only hope it wouldnt be a crazy price for 2 spots

Who knows ... i dont want to trade hronek i just said only way id consider stock piling yet another dman in drysdale when our d prospect pool is looking really good right now is if traded a hronek . Id keep hronek and draft the forward or possibly a goalie if we also landed extra picks Goalies are very different but people knocked on the habs and price worked out , people were scared of taking knight early and although hes not in the league yet hes looking damn good , we’re talking about a goalie people are mentioning at the top of the list with the best , not a nico daws

I really cant see l.a taking drysdale at #2 if they really want him that bad i suspect luc will try and get something off yzerman and trade back to 4 . Unless a trade happens the top 3 will be what everyone expects it to be imo Only way id even contemplate drafting drysdale is if we were able to trade a hronek for a 1st + and get a top forward in the 1st round like a peterka,gunler etc... I’d say we’re pretty stacked at d and shouldnt consider it with our top pick preference for #4 as of now is raymond,holtz and maybe quinn (if we trade back)....if he really is suppose to be the best scorer as some people have said surely that would translate to being a 30-40 goal guy? Also not against trading back to 9-12 and collecting another 2-3 top 60 picks and getting askarov if he really is suppose to be the next true #1 franchise goalie for a team . I dont think theres a chance at all that quinn drops , and if for some reason teams stay away from goalies and askarov starts dropping down to 14-15 etc.. with yzerman drafting vasilevsky i can 100% picture him trading up for him i think i seen like dallas not picking again till 100+ so if theyd somehow be in the 12-16 range youd have to think theyd be a prime target for a team to trade up with Im really envious of ottawa who’ll likely end up with 3 picks in the top 20 and with all those extra picks i can totally see them making a move and potentially ending up with 3 top 10 picks . We’re so screwed

Id say we have to get rid of a few bodies in helm/nielsen/glendening prior to the start of the season, counted 11 guys to come back + timashov + rasmussen + ehn + smith and not counting our 1st pick and a free agent , moves will have to get done and id personally prefer to have svechnikov stick around and get a real look hopefully we get a compliance buyout and use it on nielsen , id just leave abdelkader buried for three years and surround the kids in grand rapids

Nice to see some people finally realizing giving up on a 19 yr old dman with promise for a trash player who was on his 3rd team in 3 years was a complete f*** up love yzerman and i understand this team wont turn around overnight but thus far hes been unimpressive, and we’ll see what happens with last years draft results and as much as i like seider and hope he turns i to a stud dman and we were right to take tuomisto where we did id have went with podkolzin and fagemo personally but i understand why yzerman went 3 dmen with his first 4 picks , ken holland basically f***ed up the d position and left us in really bad shape and yzerman had no choice but to try and fix it asap Nobody should have been in the least surprised at how bad this team was this season with the d core we had and if nothing happens in the off season start prepping for a top pick in 2021 ... that is if life ever comes back to normal
