Anyways if seider comes up next season +rasmussen+zadina from game 1 and maybe veleno,cholowski how can we not be better ? I give ourselves one more year of highes and lows before we’re challenging for playoffs again and hopefully making some noise .... am i being niave? I’m having doubts on svechnikov but i havent written him off just yet as he missed a whole season of play , i think if he got a real shot with legitimate players he has the size and shot to produce decent numbers . Cholowski has work to do for sure but he’s got more offensive upside right now over any other dman outside hronek id say?Dmen take longer to develop and i still have some hope for the guy being only 21 im sure rasmussen/seider will get some looks within the last ten games which by then we’d hopefully be far gone, id also like to get some other looks with turgeon see if he can be a bottom guy or just move on for good , pearson being 23 next season might get some games in , kuffner,hirose .... anyways i think the best time for wings fans will be the last 15 games or so cause we should see more kids getting some games just hoping yzerman can get rid of trash next month .... this sucks right now but it’ll all be worth it if we land lafraniere

As we currently are yes but if we start adding in svechnikov,rasmussen,cholowski etc... subtract daley/ericsson/lashoff and some of the garbage now it might result in a 2-3 win streak obviously we won’t go rest of the season without another win. i just dont wanna finish 2nd or 3rd last at this point , i’d feel alot better once we have a 20 pt lead on the 2nd last team

Your talking about elite teams , like the pens with crosby/malkin etc..... start looking at all the rosters in the nhl and id say he’d be #1 on about half , hes a premier 2C on an ELITE team but he is a #1c, if we had drafted mcdavid he’d be our #2c but it doesn’t mean he isn’t a 1C the guy is capable of being a pt a game player , he’s showed it already and i won’t him down this year when our team as a whole is complete s*** rasmussen will be a roster player next season and veleno will be a redwing next season or the year after, if we land lafreniere i can see easily see him being a redwing next season

I think there’s nothing wrong with the bertuzzi larkin mantha line and the numbers are just down cause again , we’re s*** as a whole . If we’re fortunate to add lafraniere id have no problem putting him with larkin but if veleno makes it they have undeniable chemistry and id put them both together and keep the #1 line intact for now but again , no big deal if hes put with larkin or the 2nd line

Everyone was going nuts for larkin last season after putting up a point a game , now we’re gonna write him off cause the team for the most part is complete s*** and his numbers will obviously go down? Obviously when we start adding our #1pick +zadina full time and one year under his belt , veleno ,svechnikov etc.... his numbers will be good again . Larkin is a #1 center and a top #2c on an elite team , which we’re not at the moment but doesnt mean we won’t be good if veleno progresses and stays as a C having larkin veleno rasmussen as our 1-3 center’s would be pretty good imo

Lmao the kid just literally turned 20 , mantha just turned 25 and people were finally talking 30-40 goal potential star before all the stupid injuries and some people are sucking eachother off cause fabbri who’s gonna be 24 has 16 pts but zadina sucks cause he was 6th overall and hasn’t torched the league? Last i checked before the last few games hes been on the 3rd line playing with 4th line talentless hacks every night and now that he’s got better linemates he’s playing much better and when veleno,etc... come he’s got all the tools to be a 30+ goal guy I’d obviously have brady tkachuk over zadina but he’s got 24pts in 38 games playing on the top line and zadina is on the same pace as of now being a bottom guy, anyways its really way too soon for anyone to give up on zadina being a top line guy let alone calling him a bust

Not much available on july 1 so sadly if howard starts playing decent enough the rest of the way i can see us signing him to one year unless stevie can find a taker prior to trade deadline and pulls the trigger and decides to move on. If that happens holtby(which i wouldnt sign) and lehner(i suspect the hawks will resign) would probably be the best options, after that its a goalie type tandem situation and maybe someone like greiss?halak?(who seem’s to have found a home in boston) i think our best option might be to trade for someone like georgiev from the rangers , sheshtyorkin is most likely the future there and lundqvist isnt going anywhere so he would be my #1 pick of who we should go after, after that id look in other leagues for someone. In the khl i’d target krasikov first as he’s been pretty solid overall the last 4 years and just turned 24 and has size , granted i don’t know his contract situation After that there’s sorokin in the khl as well but i doubt the islanders trade him and likely brought in varlamov to help transition him in. I doubt colorado would trade him and granted he’d be years away and likely wouldn’t deal him in a package but they have a 19 yr old kid annunen leading la liiga with a 947% so if he can somehow pry him away and add him into our pipeline i’d consider it. Either way i don’t think free agency is going to help us much and stevie will have to make a deal , haven’t written off larsson yet but it’s a shame he hasn’t dominated the ahl this season
