Great is a bit of a stretch , i’d have kept him over howard cause he’s aging and everyone knows i’ve never been a fan but at this point nobodys going to trade for bernier/howard comrie/saarijarvi to will both be in ambri piotta in the swiss league in 2-3 yrs so again nothing to really complain about ... we’ll have to make a move in the off season and target someone like georgiev with upside , my friends a rangers fan and he wont shut up abot sheshtyorkin and how hes breaking khl records so he should be available Well we all know i wasn’t a fan of the perlini deal from day 1 and now seeing regula on u.s’s 1st ppl unit i really don’t like it ,i know he wasnt projected to be a number 1 pair guy but we never know if tuomisto or other kids will pan out so i’d have kept him but it is what it is at this point, maybe perlini can join ambri piotta with comrie/saarijjarvi and reminisce about the good old days

Well when a bottom line guy is making 4 million a year that will undoubtedly effect the trade value we’d get back, even at 2 million for helm i’d say we’d be forunate to land a 3rd rounder Well only way we get an early second for him would have to be a bottom team which i dont see happening , late first(which i can’t see a team ever doing) or late second seems to be the best possible scenario involving a draft pick , you wouldn’t do it and thats fine but i think we’d be foolish not to accept it with having an abundance of bottom line guys and guys like smith,pearson knocking at the door soon

I agree we need vets but if we can get a 2nd for what should be a 4th line guy on most teams we have to do it imo, and by the time this team is ready guys like mantha,larkin,bert will be the veterans ... as for helm you can think he has value but no one will pay him 4 million , we’d have to retain $ Hey i got s*** last season for suggesting trading him after his 30 goal season and selling high so im not super high on AA i just think he’s capable of putting up alot better numbers than he has this year, hasn’t helped him he’s been playing with guys wth zero skill on his line. Because we’re a rebuilding team and he’s our best trade asset that we’s be willing to trade imo,cant see us trading mantha,larkin,bertuzzi + we gave a ton of kids coming up in zadina,veleno,rasmussen etc... all fighting for top 6 spots + fabbri who’s on a high atm just wont be enough spots in the top 6 for AA if your being honest with yourself . I suggested trading him last year when he was on a high but was told how dumb i was Got no problem holding on to AA to get his numbers up next year before trying to trade him if we dont get what we want but i cant see any possiblity of him being here in 2 years

Was trying to see the best available players around the league in general .... if AA is playing like he was last year youd have to think hed be #1 or #2 , hes not but i still think hed habe value + he wouldnt just be a rental as for green im not expecting a high return but youd have to think unless teams make other guys available he’d have to be near the top if teams are looking for offensive dmen.
