Fantasies lmao I’m not the one fantasizing AA to be a 30 goal -70-80 pt guy automatically every year now after one solid season , I hope he becomes one but who’s to say he doesn’t step back and goes back to just being a 40-45 pt guy , you Ever heard of striking when the irons hot? You don’t move out players expecting good returns back when the productions low I’m well aware not all of our kids will hit, I think everyone will agree at this point the mantha Larkin bertuzzi line stays and remains untouched ... I’d be willing to bet money out of zadina,veleno,2020 1st,berggren ,svechnikov,hirose,Rasmussen, mastrosimone few years from now .... out of all those guys we’ll find 3 guys to jump into the top 6 role looking into the future that way AA likely will become expendable unless his production lowers and he becomes a third liner , which is why I’d take a shot and try and land that top 10 pick , which teams won’t trade away on deadline day ... anyways I’m just talking cause it wont happen either way, not cause AA is this superstar but because teams won’t trade a top pick for a guy with one good season no matter how badly some of you think how good he is or will be so there’s no point talking about it and nobody ever talked about trading mantha or bertuzzi so I don’t know why you’d bring them up into this .... ya I’ll be salivating for a top pick in 2021 ,2022,2023 while you’ll be getting your hopes up every year thinking this will be the year we get in and get eliminated in 4 games .... wanna be a contender you gotta rebuild properly , I’m sure if it was up to you we’d be signing a few guys just to get in the playoffs this year and have a quick exit Lmao don’t worry about colorado’s Forward depth worry about your own team , avalanche is more than f***en Fine .... Well for all we know athanasiou might go back down , he’s had 1 30 goal season so I don’t know if we can expect this every year , although i think he’s got all the tools personally I don’t think it’s foolish at all when you look at all the kids we have coming and how we’re going to likely have to create spots and move bodies regardless. How else are we expected to land a top 10 pick? Look at Colorado and how they lucked out , think we’d have a shot at a #7 pick next year let’s say if we offered AA? The problem with that is nobody will trade a top 10 pick on the day of the draft you saw how this draft was and 2020 is even way better ... f*** Colorado got a newhook at 16? Krebs 17? We should be getting a great pick 10-15 anyways my thing though is trying to do like Tampa did and targeting a team that believes they’ll make the playoffs but realistically have just a great a shot to miss it and target that teams 1st flyers comes to mind off the top of my head ,gm is willing to make bold moves ... you got leafs,bruins,Tampa most likely locked in ... rangers and devils got way better , pens and caps in their division as well , habs with price have a good shot getting in ...flyers could just as easily miss the playoffs , whoever we would trade with would give themselves a lottery protection but that’s no big deal if it happens to be a 5-10 pick anyways I’m not in a rush to trade the guy but I just think 2020 will be superstacked and unless we get a teams blue chip prospect back I’d rather target a top pick , we won’t be trading him for a 25-26 yr old dman to try and get in the playoffs cause it would be pointless at this stage Im just trying to think longterm and most fans are just in love with the player and not thinking longterm , we have a ton of really good forward prospects on this team that will be fighting for a top 6 role which will make AA expendable in my eyes and I do believe yzerman will trade him eventually unless he Just tanks this year and gets like 15 goals and establishes himself as a future career 3rd liner which I don’t see happening thus becoming a valuable trade piece

Well for me I wouldn’t trade Larkin bert or mantha over him as I value them more , Larkin is the captain , we don’t have a player like bertuzzi with what he brings and Mantha is like a 6’5 sniper who can skate ... after that zadina veleno etc.. are much younger and the future core yes I wouldn’t just give AA away , and 2020 is such a crazy deep draft we can land two top 10 picks we’d be so set up , and it’s like you said I’m not bashing AA I’m not a hater I just know already if he gets 30 goals again he’s gonna demand 7-8 per and he’ll be a headache and we have a ton of great kids coming , i know it’s a scrimmage 3 on 3 game but guys like jack adams are showing as well that we shouldn’t write them off AA is the most tradeable chip with high value that we have , sometimes you gotta have a bigger picture and look into the future as hard as it is , i was pissed as well with derozan thinking kahwi would just leave after a year , nobody could have predicted an nba title run
