Umm but if they trade jvr itll likely be a hockey deal and not someone we should look at Dunn is 24 i believe ? Could be someone worth taking a shot at imo if we’s be willing go expose cholowski/lindstrom which i think they couldnt care less about Johansson is a big risk imo , another 5 yrs as well? + i dont know if making ourselves slightly better in the next few yrs to get 7-12th picks in two deep drafts would be a wise move? I agree we dont have to trade everyone , id just personally trade larkin before bertuzzi . Think he’s more valuable,certainly larkin is an important piece as well but hes a very good 2c and if we ended up with beniers or someone else he’s expendable if we then strike gold with a wright/bedard .... obviously lots of if’s i just think bertuzzi is someone id prefer to show the kids the way All that being said ... and im sure some ppl will be pissed cause some think fabbri is king s*** for some reason but we have him and vrana/stecher that will likely be flipped by the 2023 draft so it is entirely possible to keep both larkin and bertuzzi as the 2 main guys heading the kids that come along into the future made sense to move mantha , i said year ago and got slack for it im not like everyone else who seems to love the return , it all depends what yzerman can flip vrana for . Yup , i remember wanting dobson that year cause our d was complete s*** since lidstrom left and i liked the kid but we couldnt pass up on zadina. He’s only 6 pts behind larkin and obviously we’d want more goals from zadina but its way too soon to write him off the whole team is s*** from the back to the front to the coach , add in seider,raymond,bertuzzi at 100% possibly a few more guys and i can see him getting 20-30 next season in 82 games

How do you not protect cholowski and see what he can do with another coach? I like lindstrom but at the end of the day hes a 5-7 dman and he’s be alot easier to replace, we already have sebrango who with any luck is looking like he can fit in there , mcisaac if he stays healthy + free agency it would suck but id definitely protect cholowski , unless yzerman moves stetcher in the off season , i vegas is exempt so if we tell them give us a 2022 2nd and hes yours id do it without a seconds hesitation we’ll see what happens

We dont need any big free agents to come right now , just get some decent guys we can flip for 2nds at the deadline .
