Agreed , think we should stay away from drafting a goalie unless someone’s around in rounds 5-7 that we like and think might have potential, I’d also include van pottelberghe with the 3 goalies mentioned, still only 21 and has upside so I’d be disappointed if we let him go although I do have really high hopes for the 2 Swedes Im really hoping the wings draft fagemo with the second rounder , man he looks good and a right shot , just have a bad feeling he might get picked earlier than expected so I’d just jump on him asap , hopefully islanders and sharks get outed first rounds so we draft 45-50

Would anyone be willing to take on bad contracts for adding assets ?? was thinking Ryan Callahan has one year left at 5.8 for Tampa ... what if we can get a 2019 4th and 2020 3rd from Tampa , then eat 50% of his contract and maybe rangers will want him back to be around the kids (last I checked Brendan smith was playing upfront) for a 5th ? might be less but if we can land a 3rd,4th,5th pick type of deal for 2.9 of used cap space do we do It? No clue to be honest haven’t really followed him but Dabura sent a good video ... that YouTube uploaded had good videos last season for the prospects I think last I checked he didn’t have many for this year yet but seems like he’s uploaded some now , definetly worth a watch

Byram is higher ranked , I personally like broberg better. Probably biased due to all the Swedes we’ve had in our past so always got an eye out for Swedes , I also like his size and how he plays with the puck offensively also very high on soderstrom at d though which is why I’m disappointed we didn’t land another first rounder, and if we don’t get a top 3 pick I’m personally hoping we draft a d cause this team has seriously been lacking an elite dman since we lost lidstrom

Because he’s a 9th overall pick and should be given tons of ice time to complete his game and get more offensive opportunities to become a better player overall you look at past track record Larkin is the exception to the rule plain and simple. The wings would have been fine with Rasmussen starting down if we could, we have a ton of players capable of being 10-13th forward guys , frk would have simply just played more games I’d be preparing myself for Rasmussen starting down next season in Grand Rapids and eventually being called up if I were you so it won’t come as a complete shock when it happens

Ehn is also 22, played with men in Europe and is a 4th line player barely getting ice time has nothing to do with who’s above who on the depth chart , zadina would be higher on the prospect chart but isn’t in the nhl to start, wings have always let kids go down and get a ton of ice time with Larkin being the exception and Rasmussen didn’t exactly light it up in the pre season Rasmussen only started here cause it was juniors or nhl , it’s that simple
