Never said I wanted him here , said he's someone I can definetly see holland signing and since he's 32 it sure as hell better not be anything more then 5 yrs I think the best way to improve this team is through a trade ... Yes let's save our money , we ain't cup contenders next season even with precious stamkos ... And I'd personally be more comfortable with spending 10 million cap hit to a lidstrom type #1 dman I know you say his bloodclot issues are over and done with and you may be right but we never know what can happen in the future , look at Chris bosh from the Miami Heat who might retire now , can't be 100% certain it'll never return And what happens if he gets 40 goals and then some kid like mantha or whoever it is comes along and gets back to back 30 goals , he sees stamkos's salary and what we give him 8 per?anyways I'd personally just feel more at ease giving a true number 1 dman 10 mill salary or I guess a best of the best NHL forward who's also great 2 way and does it all ... 5 yrs x 6 is the max I'd go for lucic , he's 28 now which means he'd be done at 33 and like mentioned previously his body will break down so no 6-7 yr deal , 5 years and I'd take a gamble , it would be nice to have someone to go around knocking people , + we got a ton of kids coming with small contracts so we can afford the risk Still think our #1 priority is adding a defencmen through a trade .... Mrazek is real young and hopefully with a bright future ahead and we got a few good goalie prospects in the pipeline now , think we could of used the puck for another player but I won't complain too much My guess is they thought this kid was under the radar and can be special and was sidetracked by the injuries this season so why risk the kid going undrafted or picked later and next season he becomes a star ... Besides if he becomes good and we have problems with mrazek down the road if he wants more money then we'll be ok Guessing and hoping now that next season we will be ok and have no need to draft a goaltender

Malmstrom wasn't ranked by any scouting services and there's little info on him , hakan Anderson found him in junior leagues so let's be hopeful it's another hakan home run Fair enough ...
