You want to say he's one of the best forwards then say it How can you say a forward is better than a defensemen ? Yes it all depends on the teams situation, if a team has a top goalie then there's no need for price or his cap hit etc... But yes you can say a defensmen is better than a forward, how many times did we hear lidstrom was the best player in the NHL ?? Hedman is better , doughty is better than stamkos etc.. Yes hedman's contract will go up but bishop will also be off the books and they can get rid of a Callahan or others For us to compete with the 8.5 Tampa is offering , because of the taxes I'm guessing it'll have to be 10-11 per (which I wouldn't do) Think it's just a ploy from stamkos to try and get more money off tampa but he will be back We'll see what happens soon enough

Bertuzzi has been tremendous in the ahl playoffs , yes not NHL but he's been very impressive as where sadowy is still in the juniors and hasn't played one pro game yet ... Id personally wouldn't want to trade bertuzzi at all , if sadowy progresses we'll have 2 similar players and it'll be beneficial , we have too many of the same type of players as it is We have to try and shed salary first , then we'll just be in a Chicago Blackhawks situation where teams know we have to absolutely shed salary and then we'll get raped and lose a mantha/svechnikov
