Fedorov won't be trying to convince him to stay as radulov has already made it clear he's going to the NHL You said it , this team needs to get bigger and harder To play against and I'm pretty sure Gus and nyquist are none of those things and if they could both be used to get a few of trouba/Hamilton/fowler then why not Radulov wouldn't cost us any assets to sign and he's still in his prime , not 34/35 ... He could easily score 25-30 and If we had radulov vs Tampa in the playoffs we could of won in those close games As long as it's nothing more than 2 years then signing him isn't a high risk ... There's zero % chance trouba will ever be made available for an expansion draft ... They'd rather put Myers and enstrom before putting trouba up

We need defensemen that can be good at both ends though , that's why we'd have to get rid of green first to add a vatanen i think ... Too much of similar play although right now vatanen is better obviously As for ducks prospects brad montour is suppose to be good as well Theodore ... Just think our prospect pool for defensemen are really slim now especially with sproul ouellet Jensen out of waivers and Russo graduation soon Green has 2 more years As for vatanen he's been talked about a lot as trade bait .... If we could get a trouba or a young defensemen with some potential like dumba or one of the ducks/flyers many defensive prospects then we need to do it and replenish the prospect pool for defensemen As for shattenkirk or vatanen ? I personally think there a bit overrated , sure put up some points but there not known for playing solid defense ... I would take one of them ONLY if mike green was traded elsewhere .. Julien gaucherie caught my eye due to his size and my mind went with he and mantha on the top 6 at 6'5 each ... Thing is though as we mentioned we need d , if we drafted a forward then we'd have to later on trade that forward , or svechnikov or mantha or someone of significance to get a dman We can keep saying we draft the best player available but we keep avoiding drafting defensemen when we need one then all these forwards were drafting , one or two of them will need to get traded down the road for defense Might as well trade down and go for some defensemen with those picks

No need to argue guys , everyone here has their own opinions and who they'd like and don't like ... The draft is mostly luck and chance This jake bean kid can be good or he can not ... For me personally if he's available I'd trade up and draft the Finnish dman if he falls to 10-15 , after that I'd just trade back once or twice and add more picks and try and strike gold with 3-4 picks in the top 60 rather than 2 My thinking for that is a lot of good 2nd round defensemen have come out last few seasons and I'm sure if we look at the last 5 years or so of the draft we would see some of the top dmen drafted early never made a big mark Anyways let's hope it all turns out good for us this year and we make some good deals , hope we don't give up our top 2 rounders to make a deal happen though

I said 3 yrs for 7 million total not per .. I'm sure he'd love that but fat chance haha He's a solid player but for a 4th line giving 3 per is a lot , and we have glendening and nosek and bertuzzi coming soon and 4th liners could be brought in easier , maybe Miller returns I like helm but also keeping him also gives us the risk he stays most of the time in the top 6 again and the kids suffer

Think he's gone ... This is also gonna be his one chance to strike it big and if a team gives him even just a million more for 5-6 years how will he not jump on it ? If we don't trade up to get a top 10 dman , I'd rather trade back once or twice and get 3-4 picks in the top 60 and get some dmen , really think we got some talent upfront and should only get a forward in the top 60 if hes a potential gritty forward who can skate and is like 6'4 210 I really think we should stick to drafting 3-4 dmen and boost our prospect pool and hope one or 2 turns out to be good Wanted us to draft Lucas carlsson last year and he went undrafted ... Ya just hope hank doesn't mean be more aggressive and trade all our top prospects and top picks for more vets to help us win next 2-3 yrs (which wouldn't happen anyways) I'd be happy if we could somehow trade Tatar/nyquist/howard/Ericsson and add some defense and maybe a Chris kreider type forward we desperately need and give increased ice time to AA and mantha Don't think we desperately need to sign a mega star but just a few good moves and trust in the kids for once I'd also be up for tradinng with the ducks/flyers type teams with a lot of defensive prospects and getting say a Gabriel carlsson type dman in our prospect pool After sproul/ouellet/Jensen who will be lost or stick around all we have left really is Robbie Russo ... Time to call up some teams with overload in defense prospects and see what we can add to our team If we can trade a frk and a 3rd let's say for Gabriel carlsson I'd do it ... Any chance in he'll us signing radulov would get datsyuk to reconsider and stick around? If that's the case I would do it so long as radulov signs for only a one year deal and we can the ship off a nyquist for defense

Where did you find that info ? I noticed Tyler bertuzzi isn't even on the list And saarijarvi can play 4 more full seasons before he's eligible for waivers the following season? Could be wrong but doesn't sound right
