Interesting, but I'd get rid of the trapezoid rule first. Also, the crease kinda looks aesthetically presentable to me, the rink would look weird without it.

It might be cool, but it's just not what the American hockey culture evolved into in my opinion.

The Mule played with real passion yesterday and he also shelved a nice one. Hoping for a speedy recovery! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DSiftrpiF8

It would be fun if we landed him, along with Selanne. I can't help it, I just love these old guys. It worked out with Chelios, Hull, Robitaille, Bertuzzi, Modan...oh wait.

Franzen with a beauty!

Z scored, Franzen got into a little scramble afterwards. Weird to see Dats and Z face off against each other.

Torts is entertaining as hell, I see nothing wrong with that.

Ah, that's nice. Your lady is definitely in some good company when it come to sharing birthdays. A happy one to both!

I always thought that Stevie is doing his learning time in Tampa so he'll be ready when the time comes to return to Detroit, which I think is still pretty far down the road. Babs as GM, that's an interesting thought. In that case, it'd be fun to see Yzerman as head coach, I mean, he basically coached the team before, the way he inspired and fired everyone up. It could definitely work.

I want to see Yzerman as GM after Holland retires, I'm sure he'll figure out the rest.

I think the suspension is fine, but I'm still a bit mad at Shanny because of Weber. Which one should I pick? There should be an option which says: "just right, but Shanahan still sucks."

Time for some Babcock F-bombs! -
That was fun, thanks!

Now that our season has been over for a while, I think we could settle down a bit and reminiscence about some of the most memorable moments of this year's Red Wings hockey. For me, the greatest moment of the season, and the one that all my neighbors were probably aware of, is Datsyuk's incredible goal against Nashville in February, where he schooled Suter and scored the winner with just 5 seconds remaining on the clock: So, what's your favorite moment? (Red Wings or otherwise)

Indeed, Bert gave us many satisfying moments. The one that stands out to me the most was against Edmonton, where he scored two goals to bring Detroit back in the game and then slapped it home in the shootouts in a must score situation. Too bad we ended up losing that game, but I think it was Bert's best regardless.

^This Also, he'll continue to win us lots of extra points in shootouts.

Indeed. I was watching the game yesterday and got really tired by the time the OT started. I remember saying to myself: "okay, let's just watch it for five minutes before going to sleep, it'll probably end anyway."

The way I see it, it'll either be Pasha or one of the Flyers. I'm fine with both Giroux and Hartnell, but #13 on NHL 13 is just too obvious for EA to miss. If the Flyers go deep in the playoffs, it might hurt our chances, but let's pull it together and win at least a little something this year. Also, please not Malkin.

True, but it would be a lot of fun to have Torts though.

Rooting for an 8th seed vs. 8th seed cup final.

Holland is great and when he retires, Stevie Y will be ready to take over Hockeytown.

I liked the Preds during the regular season, but I couldn't root for them after they eliminated us. Also, I'll probably harbor a never ending hatred towards Weber, even if he comes to DET next season. Guess it's Kings and Flyers from here on out.
-
I still have faith in our Red Wings to pull it together and come out on top. As for the rest, I'm rooting against every single one of them, so I hope none of them will make it to game 6.
