Makes me wish I had recorded a Colorado preseason game, so I could watch some real hockey take place. What we just witnessed was nothing short of a waste of perfectly usable ice surface and national TV airtime. -

Just thinking about this after reading the J-Bo thread. Will the move to the East possibly make it more appealing/easier for teams in the West to trade with us? They won't have to face us a bunch, so there is potentially less harm there. Not to mention it seems like most of the more recent big name deals (FA or trade) have been a shift from West to East. Does this play a part in the trade deadline or not?

Sucks to see a guy get hurt, even though I don't care for him as a player. But more importantly....where the hell was that shot headed? That wasn't even close to being on target, unless Crosby door dinged that guy's Porsche in the parking deck. -
Appears that Lupul took a blast from Phanuef in front of the net, expected to miss at least 6 weeks. That sucks for a guy who seemingly been injured frequently....days after signing a $25M deal. Is it me, or are we seeing more "freak" injuries that didn't used to happen as much? Maybe just more guys willing to take risks to make a play?

An 18 man competitive roster instead of the 23 man roster we have now leaves us with our pants down when the injury bug bites this team again ( which it will). If it were that big of a payoff, don't you think some teams would have made it work by now?

Jesus H.....at least give the guy a chance to play a game in the Winged Wheel before writing him off. Who knows, maybe playing in Red and White will inspire him to play above his normal level. -
