We don't deserve the playoffs the way we've played the past 5 weeks but I think I'd rather Tampa Bay. Montreal and the NY Rangers have been tough to beat lately. Although I think we match up well against the Rangers, they are playing better hockey than everyone the past month.

It's funny what a lot of people here are saying. I don't think Cole has looked off at all. He's been driving the net which is absolutely unheard of here in Red Wing country, hitting some posts, coming into the zone with speed. On the contrary, I actually wish he was in. We could really use him down the final stretch here.

Yea that isn't exactly what I wanna hear from my favorite team's starting goalie as a fan.

Tatar has been strange lately. I noticed he hasn't put himself in the right positions to score even though the passes are making it to him. He seems a bit nervous lately and his passing has been off. He's been making some critically bad passes. And he's hitting posts. Hope he gets going cause he is someone we are gonna need now down this stretch here.

Well I do agree but a lot of the teams battling with us for the 6, 7 and 8 spots have almost as many ot/shootout losses as we do. Our overall play the whole month of March, whether it was the defense, goaltending or 5 on 5 goal scoring have been dreadful. When ya slump, you're not really great in those aspects or at least not all 3 of those. Our pk was awful without Helm when he wasn't playing too.

Wings started off weak as usual. Put themselves in a 2-0 hole. Battled back. Tatar hit the post on a powerplay after we failed on a 5 on 3. Everyone thought it went in. We went on a late rush in the final minutes and Holtby made the big saves. That was pretty much yesterday's game.

Weiss is terrible on the pp and not responsible at all when needing to make split decision judgements. I remember that one game where he had 2 assists that led to 2 short handed goals against us.

Z-Datsyuk-Weiss Tatar-Cole-Nyquist Jurco-Sheahan-Pulkkinen Helm-Glendening-Abdelkader This would never happen but I'd like to see these lines.

We'll it certainly isn't for lack of trying. Holland definitely tried as best as he could for Shea Weber and then Ryan Suter.

Same failing lines, slow starts, repeated losses to the same exact teams no matter how important the game is, too many men on the ice once a game. Since 09 there has been a decline. But making the playoffs and being pretty competitive is still a feat. But the mantra for this year wasn't just to make the playoffs. This is a huge disappointment. Even another squeak in and out in the 1st around is an extreme disappointment. I'm still hoping they pull off 3 wins in a row and start resembling the team we saw about a month and a half ago but the odds are far off. It's rough to watch a team with a good amount of talent stumble at such a bad time. Can't even blame the defence or even the goaltending today. Now the offense can't pick up the slack.

I'd like Babcock to say "We are not playing the hockey we need to play to ensure a successful season to our fans and I'm to blame as well. If we don't get it done and play with some heart then I'd have to say this would be one of the more disappointing seasons and we'd have to reevaluate where we're really heading in our future regarding personnel. We need to wake up cause it's gut check time right now for the next 3 games." Lol better than "I thought we played real good in the 2nd and 3rd but their goalie stood on his head."

Didn't take a rocket scientist to realize that missed 5 on 3 opportunity would prove to be the difference. I never thought a month ago I'd be saying now that we have a high likelihood of gagging the season away like the 2013 Maple Leafs did. Mrazek seems to allow at least one bad goal a game but once again the offense fails. And seriously where is Cole? Really hate trading for guys that disappear when you really need them. But then again it's not like he isn't injury prone either.

Damn man. I can't believe how hard it is for this team to muster up 2 wins in a row considering they went the whole first 70% of the season without losing 2 straight in regulation. Was thinking why doesn't Babcock put Z with Datsyuk? Z is really nothing out there right now.

These constant icings are making me feel a little better. Come on guys!

It's about time for Z to come up with a timely goal here. He's crazy overdue.
