Yes. We lose a lot of games because he is useless without the puck and pretty useless even with it this year. I know you love him and his cap hit to death and everything but at some point you have to admit he stinks right now and as nice as 08 and 09 were he shouldn't be here throwing an anchor down on every line he is on especially with the energy we have from the young guys.

Damn Franzen is really useless. We've played solid for most of this season and it was all done with him and his awesome -9.

Islanders played so average tonight and they looked 10 times better than us. Disgusting. Tied for the best record in the NHL 2 weeks ago and now they lose at home to an insanely overrated Islander team. Worst thing was I had to watch the Isles announcers and the guy(not Howie Rose,he's actually a solid announcer) was shocked that Datsyuk's line was outplaying Tavares' line(last I checked Datsyuk has 2 Cups), kept saying "Kronwell" and kept calling Helm, Datsyuk(I guess the number 3 on their jerseys must be confusing). Putrid homerism. Horrible refereeing and an awful game by the Wings all around.

As I watch a 20 round shootout between the Caps and Panthers I have to wonder what is really wrong with this team. Z is awful and maybe the Devils are a slight bit worse in the shootout but no way their goalie is worse than ours.

Rangers simply dominate this team.

They were bottom feeding last year and I think they beat us like 3 times. We are a playoff team. We should win these important games against non playoffs teams a lot more often then we actually do. I'm sure you see what 3 or 4 points more in the standings would've done for Detroit.

Here's 2 unforgettable points when we are scratching to get 4th seed for at least the possibility of a round of home ice advantage in the playoffs but don't. So important to beat these teams.

Howard has been awesome but that goal blew the game. Terrible angle to give up that one on. This team cannot muster up more than a regulation two game winning streak.

This team is an absolute joke in the shootout. I'd feel content if the Nhl just conceded that they'd give Detroit 1 point each game the rest of the year as long as I don't have to watch any of them.

I thought Jimmy should've started. That being said, there were more than a few breakaways so I highly doubt Jimmy would've done that much better. 1 or 2 goals every night and a miracle goal in the final minute to tie seems to be the gameplan no matter who the opposition is.

Probably a blessing. I really like Mrazek. I also really would like the Red Wings to beat teams like Philly and the Rangers every now and then.

I will not blame any goalie or defenseman this year. For the lack of talent and physicality on defense, I think we have been way better than last year so far. This offense is absolutely awful. Just look at the 2 guys who scored tonight and it just speaks volumes.

Starting Gustavsson and Cleary in a game against Lundqvist makes me think it is time for Babcock to get a change of scenery soon. This dump and grind style is not going to work with a bunch of soft Euros. Sad but true. This team is not physical and nothing will change until we start cutting lose guys like Franzen and Helm and maybe getting someone back that actually has a scoring touch.

Why does Babcock always play our backup goalies against the Rangers every year? This is boring hockey so far. Not even a shot yet? Where is the motivation? Is Cleary seriously in?

Straight up underwhelming and, by far, the worst game of the season. 1 point in 2 games versus Buffalo and Ottawa. What a putrid performance by the offense yet again. They made Ottawa look like the Blackhawks out there tonight.

Jimmy must be doing well if he still hasn't given up anything when apparently the ice was tilted one way in that first period .

Did I really just tune in late just to see us being out shot 16-2 by Ottawa?

How this team got a point tonight is a friggin miracle. Boston has a defensive gameplan. They are not a great offensive team. They threw a lot of shots at Howard but not too many with quality aside from those 2 straight shots he made 2 good saves on. But even in the overtime and shootout it was men against boys. Tonight was our Red Wing team the past 3 years in a nutshell.

Big Rig looks like himself a lot recently. Plays smaller than his size, sometimes plays good and sometimes turns the puck over at a bad time in cringe worthy fashion.

I'm convinced that Boston had no goaltending problem in the playoffs last year against us and we had Jimmy mysteriously missing the final 3 games of that series. I think we are a faster team than Boston but that's just about it.

Man this is like an instant replay of the playoffs. More physical, better defense and better goaltending on the Bruin's side. Same team, same result. Come on guys! Wake up!
