This game should've been blown open from all this goonery. Their talent is sorely lacking resulting in these bush league tactics. We gotta keep coming at them in the third and keep skating hard. Put them away this period. Hartnell is a gobbler.

I like these lines. That 4th line is a pooper but oh well. If they can generate decent puck possession, not get scored on and give the other three lines a breather than their job was done. I'm gonna try to go to that game against the Devils on friday since I live here in NJ. Go Wings!

Quincey is a straight up F as is Cleary. Can't disagree there. I'm not a fan of Bert anymore so I might be biased but I think he should be a C+ and Jimmy Howard is 6-7-6 and has let in a bunch of soft, late game changing goals. I would give him a C- and Andersson a C because he just doesn't show up on the score sheet ever he's a bit slow and he is not a solid two way guy. He's been damn good at faceoffs though. I'd give Babcock a C+ with his strange line juggling and obsession with Cleary and having Quincey out on the ice in a few of those overtime games. I agree with pretty much all your grades otherwise.

Three most reliable players are now down. It never ends and we just can't catch a break. Time to see if our supporting cast(looking at you Weiss) can carry us. Good thing Nyquist and Tatar are here. Go Wings!

My wife(Isles fan) asked me what's up with Helm's stash and I told her to check out Clutterbuck's 1970's porn stash atrocity....I won. This game was a bit sloppy but man Detroit poured it on in the second half of the game especially thanks to Helm. Star Wars: "These ARE the Wings you are looking for...move along...move along." Nice to see Jimmy now knows there's gonna be a goalie controversy if he didn't step his game up and he did. Alfredsson is a beast by the way. Keep it up guys!

Growing pains for a defence without Lidstrom's Hall of Fame quarterbacking back there. You can see Kronwall isn't the same player because he has a much bigger responsibility now and probably has taken his foot off the pedal regarding bone crunching hits because it could lead to a penalty. I think he's doin g fine. We have good defensive kids on the Rapids with a bright future so big E deserves this contract and then some for being a responsible shut down guy and learning his role.

Best game I've seen them play in 4 years. This is why real fans rage on this forum(not the ones who say coach sucks, gm sucks, team sucks). We know this team is capable of playing like this. Gus faced a few tough shots and stood tall. 6 different guys scored. These are the Red Wings we know. This game just made my holiday better.

How is Gustavsson supposed to stay hot if they keep rotating goalies. The dude is 4-1 this year. Had a three game winning streak. Just gotta go with the goalie that wins. What does it take to get Cleary and Quincey out of this lineup? I love this team. There doesn't seem to be a thirst for winning though. It's a shame.

If the Wings happen to get blown out in this period, I firmly believe Quincey will be -8 by nights end. Man is he ever a pile of poop. I thought Smith was bad...this guys is downright awful.

Poor Danny. I think we would've played a better series against Chicago if Danny didn't get injured against Anaheim. Then Chicago wouldn't have kept passing to Brendan Smith on purpose just so they can get the puck right back in a better scoring position in our zone. As if things aren't bad enough,we are really gonna miss DD!

There was a point about two years ago where we won most of our shootouts and played a lot of one goal games thay we won. Now the opposite has happened. Maybe Babcock should give Tatar a shot in the shootout. Or at least in overtime.

Bert seems to disappear when we need him. I don't think he deserves to be on a line with Datsyuk and Zetterberg. He's not playing terrible but I just think we can inject some youth into this team. I'd rather them lose with learning pains then lose with old vets who really don't bring anything to the table and slow the team down.

7 straight losses at the Joe? Howard hasn't held a lead in over 3 weeks. I like Jimmy too but not when he is consistently non clutch. There are no shootouts in the playoffs and we've lost quite a few overtime games as well. Geez,can't people just admit that the Wings are seriously underperforming here? There's nothing wrong with admitting we aren't good right now. We are all fans here. There's plenty of time to turn the season around,no doubt. We have a negative goal differential and 11 losses technically. These aren't the Red Wings we thought we'd be seeing right now. Babs has to coach this team and I just don't see him as an intense motivating/light a fire under their asses type of coach the past few years. Up 3-1 on the Cup champs was not a fluke. They didn't finish Chicago off and this is still the ongoing trend this year as well. Go for that jugular. Zetts and Pav are still awesome. We can right the ship. Just tough seeing us lose the same exact way for like 3 weeks now. Coach has to sit Jimmy for a while and realize that Samuelsson,Cleary and Bertuzzi should not be getting roster spots over Nyquist.
