By the way, I am extremely glad I'm not a fan of either of these teams. I'd be standing on a chair with a rope around my neck by now.
-
Richards has been great too. Amazing how certain guys can be so clutch.
-
Give me a break. This type of game shouldn't be decided by a PP.
-
Funny, just poured one for myself before opening the thread. Cinnamon? This game has been epic so far. Both goalies are on fire.

Sharp is an idiot. Edit: Just read the article and it wasn't too bad. I agree that it's kind of odd that Sharp takes away from Osgood in a sense, but most of what he's saying is accurate. Not the typical Sharp column. I was expecting something like him blaming the team for Osgood's success.

The name of the VS song in the beginning of the hockey games

You might be thinking of "Welcome Home" by Coheed and Cambria. -
The only need is one top-four defenseman (Stuart, Norstrom, Hainsey). Franzen's emergence doesn't leave room for anything else. I think it's time for Chelios to hang them up. Let go of Lilja and maybe Lebda too. Ericsson, Quincey, or Meech will round out the third pairing.

He's 2-10-5 lifetime against Detroit and has never won a game at JLA.

I like the way the Wings match up against Dallas. Dallas plays a similar game but the Wings are better at it. If you look at top end talent, it's going to be Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Franzen, Lidstrom, Rafalski, and Kronwall versus Modano (not so "top end" anymore), Ribeiro, Richards, Zubov, Boucher, and Robidas. I think the Wings have the edge there pretty easily. Depth wise, I think Dallas may have the edge on defense as Detroit's third pairing has been pretty weak. I'll take Detroit's depth up front though. The x-factor for Dallas is Turco. Hopefully he plays like he usually does against the Wings.

No s***. Injuries are a part of the game. It sucks but it's the truth. Colorado's forwards weren't the problem anyway; it was the defense full of pylons and subpar goaltending from Jose "the best goalie in the playoffs" Theodore.
-
Yeah, so where are all the people who were claiming the Wings were "destined" for an early round exit? Looking at you, LeftWinger... Anyway, on to the second straight WCF...
-
Anaheim's series against Detroit last year should have an asterisk next to it too, in that case. It sucks but those are the breaks of the game.
-
Way too early. The Wings aren't even half way there yet.
-
I'm doubtful of this report...

Here's the hat you're talking about: I'm pretty sure it's from the Wings/Tigers charity softball game, so I doubt you'll be able to find one. It's a cool hat, though.

Trade him! He's useless!
-
Uh, yeah. No chance he's practicing already.
-
Well, the Sharks are the team that would blow a 5-2 lead.
-
I was just thinking that earlier... Anyone know how it's actually supposed to be pronounced?
-
You mean like Franzen's botched clear in Game 5 last year?
-
Ouch, the Caps are killing themselves with these penalties.
-
Bertuzzi was pretty bad this year too and is no longer a monster.
-
Samuelsson was far from an F. The guy needs to bury his chances but you're telling me he was bad? No. He wasn't bad. He was pretty ineffective offensively but he's not expected to be great offensively. He's good off the puck and is one of the few guys on the team that isn't afraid to shoot. He needs to stop stick-handling his way out of trouble, because it doesn't work. Hudler was better than a C...you've gotta remember everyone expected this guy to disappear in the playoffs and he's done the opposite.
-
...but Anaheim's built for the playoffs! ...and Hudler will never be effective in the post-season!
