Lang doesn't score that goal against SJ and I doubt we even make it to the WCF's. He was good in his last game as a Wing. Good luck, Rob.
-
Lang's goal against SJ, no doubt.
-
I feel like the Wings are the better team and yes, it would suck if they lose. However, it's not the end of the world. Everyone seems to forget that this was supposedly a "re-building" or "transitional" year for the Wings. The Wings have established a good young core that's only going to get better with more experience. Plus, we've had this much success without Schneider or Kronwall.
-
Hasek's never lost a series with the Red Wings. You do the math. How many elimination games has Giguere played in?
-
If the Wings lose, I'd much rather see Canada get the Cup than Chris Pronger. I don't think that will be the case though.
-
It was Pronger. He'll have to request a trade again if Giguere finds out.
-
What? The only guy on the team who I'd consider a pure goal scorer is Zetterberg, and it's a stretch to call him "pure" because he's very balanced. Datsyuk is obviously a pass-first guy. Bertuzzi might be but his status is up in the air. Lang is gone. Holmstrom's great but I don't know if I'd call him a pure goal scorer. If you want evidence look no further than our powerplay.
-
Here's a pic of me on prom a few weeks ago:
-
No, I haven't actually. Anyway, if you were expecting Bertuzzi to be the player he was in Vancouver you were bound to be disappointed. He's just now finding his rhythm.
-
You can't really blame Hasek tonight. He didn't have much of a chance on any of the goals.
-
SportsK is a good site for jerseys. A semi-pro Holmstrom jersey will cost you $105. An authentic would be $205.
-
He's most likely injured. He only played 14 minutes in Game 3 and has been invisible for the most part.
-
...and you're calling us biased? What Pronger did was clearly intent to injure and just blatant headhunting. Even though he is a Duck, I hope you can see that. There's a difference between being loyal and blind homerism.
-
If Holmstrom hadn't returned it probably would've been longer. Good for the NHL. The Wings really have to take advantage of this. Good ol' Pronger staying disciplined when his team needs him most!
-
I've always hated that gap toothed piece of s*** and this just reaffirms my hate. He should be out of the game and suspended for at least two. That was just ridiculous.
-
Hamrlik sucked in the playoffs this year, as usual.
-
Handzus is better than Lang.
-
I've been big on Handzus for a while now. He can play any position, he's a big body, and he plays defense. Look at what happened to Philadelphia after his departure. Hell, look at Chicago. They were playing well until he got hurt. I also think Sundin would be great here if he's willing to sign for the right price. He's a big body to replace Lang on the second line, he's a Swede, and he's a veteran who has a history of coming through in the clutch. If he wants a chance to win before his career is over I can see him signing here.
-
Calder is obviously hurt, so this is a good move. However, Kopecky is going to be rusty. I think the only reason he gets the go over Hudler is that he's a big body. I'm guessing Kopecky is in when the Wings play in Anaheim and Hudler plays in Detroit, similar to the Calgary series.

Ryan Shannon on the first line, says Versus. I like that.
-
Well, I'm saying you have Datsyuk locked up for five more years now. Say the Wings sign Smyth to a long term deal between $5-6 million. You've still got Lidstrom for another year at least at $7.6 million and Zetterberg is a free agent in two years. Then, you're looking at Lidstrom, Zetterberg, Smyth, and Datsyuk for about $27 million. That's assuming Zetterberg signs a deal similar to Datsyuk's and Smyth signs for $5.5 million. Thats 57% of the cap (assuming cap is upped to $48 million) on four guys. We could afford to sign Smyth next year but it could mess up the future plans.
-
I was at the game too -- easily the best game I've ever attended. It was insanely loud.
-
Datsyuk has worn the 'A' a few times this season.
-
Yeah, Perry sure intimidated Datsyuk tonight.
