Who are the refs tonight? I read on the MLive forums it's McCreary and McGeough. God, I hope not.

I uploaded Satellite Hotstove's recap of all the cheapshots. Here's the .

There aren't plenty of power forwards in the NHL, let alone plenty of ones we can sign.
-
If the Wings special teams played like they did today, we'll be in good shape. Calgary has two even strength goals in five games. That's pathetic.
-
Bertuzzi has been good and I think he's on his way to becoming a fan favorite. He's kept his cool under pressure and the fans love the physical presence he brings. It was great seeing him out there today. Whenever a Flames player was talking s*** he would skate by and just brush up against them so they knew he was there. That's something the Wings have been missing.
-
I don't know. It seems like the only reason he was sent out there was to send a message. I don't think he was reacting to anything, but who knows?
-
I'm not trying to flame you Jiggy, I know you're not a Calgary troll; but come on. Over reacted? What exactly was he "reacting" to? He was slashing Franzen and then two handed him after the whistle. Typical Flames sore loser brand hockey.

Time warp: 2001, wings lose in 6, give up 2-0 lead
Rice replied to WingedWheelin06's topic in General
Well, the Wings had all the momentum in the world going into Calgary and it didn't do much. -
Why hasn't Babcock rolled Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Bertuzzi yet? Bertuzzi would take a lot of attention away from the twins and Hank and Pavel are good enough defensively to take care of Bertuzzi should he make a mistake.

After we dominated two games everyone was calling for a sweep. Now Calgary wins two really tight games and it's the end of the world. Chill the f*** out. It's amazing how quickly our fans change their minds. -
Are you even watching the games? Lang is a liability. He has been downright awful.
-
Awesome. I'll be in for the game tonight.

I think most fans prefer night games.

Looks like my YouTube link isn't working right now. It happens sometimes. Should be working again later. Anyway, IMO, Phaneuf is overrated. He's a great hitter but he's looked pretty weak in his own zone. EDIT: Video is working now.

I just put the clip on YouTube. Here's a .

Decent period. It's too bad the Wings couldn't take advantage of one of those powerplays. Lilja and Datsyuk are playing great.

IwoCPO: I like it. It seems like Babcock is going to sit Hudler over Samuelsson, unfortunately, but this line has a lot of potential. Two big boys and Filppula who has been playing spectacular hockey. Filppula and Franzen could cover up for Bertuzzi's defensive lapses whereas I'd be a little worried about having Lang and Bertuzzi on the same line.
-
Highly doubtful.
-
IMO, Babcock's thinking is that this could end up being our second line with the way Lang has been playing. Two seasoned guys with a hot rookie.
-
No one on the Wings is particularly weak defensively, except Lang and maybe Hudler and Bertuzzi. Should buy enough time for Nick to get out there.

No score prediction, as usual, but I'll say what I always do; it's worked so far. The Wings aren't going to get complacent and know they have to work for a win. With the way they've been dominating the Flames I have a hard time beleiving a change in scenery will do all that much (knock on wood). The Wings come out hard again and it's important they take an early lead to quiet the fans.

Anaheim is scary team. They are so dynamic; they can play any style they want. On top of that, they are insanely physical when they want to be.

I think Calgary will come out hard in their own barn, but I'm skeptical as to how much of a difference it's going to make. Let's be honest, the Wings not only beat Calgary in the first two games, they dominated them. Anaheim and Minnesota have been playing really tight games and Anaheim just took a 3-0 lead in Minnesota's barn -- where they have been really good all season. The Wings have a ton of momentum. 51-15 in shots last game. That's ridiculous and I'm thinking it will carry over to the Saddledome. Calgary has been absolutely flat. I mean, we all thought they'd come out flying in Game 1 and they didn't. Then we thought they'd be different today. They weren't. It's obvious there's a bigger issue here than what arena they are playing in. Now I'm going to knock on wood.
