I dont understand. What context did he say that in? Did he mean our players will be dealt or rumored names around the league will be dealt? Did he say this after practice or did he mean the players will be dealt after practice?

Actually I think this is just a false report. The Wings originally signed Johnson on August 14th, which was a Monday like the article states. I think the author just didnt have his facts straight.

There's a thread on this in the rumor mill already. My guess is either Kopecky is out for the season for sure or Hudler is gone.

He's a good face off guy and thats pretty valuable in the playoffs. He'd also help out the PK. Still, there is no room on the roster for him. I think this means Hudler is gone.

Actually, we gave about half of that alotted space to Markov which has led to us having one of the best defenses in the league. If we had signed Shanahan, Lilja would probably be on the top pairing still. No thanks.
