Wow, what a chicken s*** move by Stuart.

Kronwall isn't going anywhere. The Wings have some promising defensemen but Kronwall and Kindl are the only two who project to be offensive minded guys. Quincey, Meech, and Ericsson are all more physical stay-at-home guys. I also really doubt Meech will ever be a top-four guy in the NHL.

The Kings have assembled a very impressive core with O'Sullivan, Kopitar, Frolov, and Johnson. I can't beleive that idiot Mike Keenan took Bertuzzi over the supposed Brown, Frolov, and Garon package LA was offering. Frolov is a stud and Brown is promising. Bertuzzi is a free agent.

Yeah. I mean, Holland did pull of that blockbuster Cory Cross deal last year but he didn't stay so I don't count it.
-
Ironic how so many people want to crucify Holland for bringing back old Wings but then suggest bringing back McCarty.
-
I'd be disappointed. We're obviously lacking some things up front. It'd also be exciting just to see the Wings make a trade, considering the last legitimate one we made was in 2004.
-
Where have you been? That was 03-04. Bertuzzi hit Moore because a few weeks prior Moore had hurt Naslund. Moore's neck was broken and he can't play anymore.
-
Odd that you of all people should bring stats into this argument. As for the Forsberg/Fedorov comparison, that's laughable.
-
No. Forsberg lays guys out. None of the above do so like Forsberg.
-
Why even use a roster spot on him? He doesn't bring much to the team anymore that someone else couldn't.
-
Oh, in that case I meant the Bruins traded Thornton for Kobasew, Ference, and Lilja.
-
So, looking back the Bruins traded Joe Thornton for Kobasew, Ference, and Sturm.
-
The only upside that I see for Boston is Ference is signed through 09-10 and Kobasew has another year left on his current deal then he's restricted. Primeau and Stuart are both UFA's.
-
Wow. What a deal for Calgary.
-
Why would you ever want to lose Cleary and keep Maltby? Cleary has 20 goals this season and can do everything Maltby does. Oh, and he makes less.
-
Yesterday the Preds flipped Vasicek for Belanger and today they dealt Belanger for Vishnevski. Their defense is pretty stacked now. Link.
-
Blake's a goal scorer but I'd prefer someone with size.
-
He does have offensive upside, and being capable of joining the rush is a big part of that. I don't get how he's disappointed you physically. He's thrown some big hits at big guys this year. It's too early to say whether his contract was a mistake, but just because he doesnt live up to your expectations (which apparently come from TSN's scouting reports) doesn't mean he wont end up being a top pairing guy.
-
Are you really this thick-headed? You've proven nothing other than TSN and Sportsnet's scouting reports are inaccurate and for the most part useless. They're both the same because they're written by a service called Forecaster. I doubt Forecaster really takes the time to watch the games and write up accurate scouting reports. These generic scouting reports arent the end-all-be-all in arguments. Do you watch the Red Wings or do you read the scouting reports? Kronwall has shown this year that he's capable of joining the rush and laying opponents out. His weaknesses have been clearing the crease and untimely give aways. There, thats my scouting report on him. When he's given more time on the PP and gains more experience his numbers will go up and his give aways will hopefully go down. His potential is a top pairing defenseman.
-
When did I say anything about Kronwall? I think he's overrated too, but that doesn't mean he should be traded. He simply hasn't lived up to the hype yet, in the NHL at least. He's been great in international play. Honestly though, think about what you're saying. You want Kronwall to be traded because he hasnt lived up to a TSN scouting report. He hasn't turned into the player "NHL brass envisioned" yet but so what? He's played 93 games in the NHL. Not everyone can jump in like Crosby or Ovechkin and tear up the league -- especially when Kronwall has sustained major injuries in his career already.
-
It's laughable that you base your opinions on TSN scouting reports. Here's a gem of theirs: Chris Kunitz.
-
Who cares about his style? He's an elite player when he's healthy. He would help any team.
-
I'd prefer a shooter too but saying Forsberg's style doesn't fit the Wings is crazy. Say Joe Thornton had Forsberg's playoff history. Would you want him on the team? The only down-side of getting Forsberg are his injury problems.
-
Uh, what? Shanahan had 10 points in his last 22 playoff games with the Wings. No thanks. Oh, and he's not gritty anymore.
-
He has 24 points in 57 games and he's relatively small. We have enough 3rd/4th line guys. We dont need anymore.
